The theory I read was that Imu has been a consciousness passed down for generations and that the Gorosei have been putting it in the strongest body it can find. So in the mind it’s Imu, same leader from the void century, but physcially the body and strength is that of Rox.

There is none? He’s a character built on hype. His entire character is to give luffy inspiration. Luffy became a great pirate in order to uphold his promise to shanks. And soon Luffy is going to challenge Blackbeard to avenge him. Otherwise, there’s literally no point of Blackbeard vs luffy.
