If Zoro kills Kaidou because of Sword upgrade it would reflect badly on all Swordman that crossed Swords with Kaidou or Marines that couldn't kill Kaidou(or Zoro already surpassed all of em?) . So i don't think Oda gonna go with this. Oda needs to come up with something special to explain...
