The fight isn't over nor is Wano. Zoro is good at giving Luffy a dose of reality. If he beats Kaido in a 1v1 does he even have other enemy? After defeating Kaido you should give Luffy alr the PK title.

Did he alr awaken his fruit? The important part is that despite being tortured and executed he still survived and he escaped the prison coming back to Wano. If you defeat him again he is going to escape and come back to do a Wano 2.0.

Also, I don't see Zoro as the kind of guy that would kill someone who isn't able to defend himself because other guy stomped him.

Zoro needed help against Pika because his ranged attacks were unable to travel that far. But now the shit is different. An attack that's intended to do only direct damage made a slice that travelled several kilometres.
