Character Discussion “Zoro trained for everything and will become WSS through his own strength” is completely false

Does Zoro being born with CoC ruin the notion of him becoming WSS solely through his hard work?

Zoro has CoC, which according to Garp you have to be born with.

Now if Adv CoC becomes a major power up for Zoro and it contributes to him being WSS, the notion that he trained hard for everything goes out the window because he was literally born with CoC in the first place lol.

It also means becoming WSS would be significantly harder for a person who wasn’t born with CoC lol

CoC doesn't grant any real advantage on a 1v1 battle, however, ACoC does. The problem is that Zoro will still train to master said CoC to use it properly when it's required. He won't be like Luffy who looks at Kaido's Ragnarok and starts punching everything without touching them. There is alr a big emphasis in the fact that Zoro wasn't aware of this power so he basically needs to discover it and train it which doesn't dismiss the fact that he gotta train.

At the end of the day Zoro will be the greatest of like 5 or 6 "great swordsmen" and half of them are dead. It's okay to let him have this little title.

So if Zoro can become a WSS without working hard just because he has COC, why wasn't he the WSS as soon as he was born?
It doesn't really work like that, at all

It's like saying "why does Michael Jordan have to work hard to become the world's best basketball player if he's so talented?"

Luffy's PU was logical as well

Ugh... Yes and No. It took him 1 Ragnarok to the face and 1 flashback to start spamming ACoC attacks everywhere. If Zoro was the one doing that after a flashback it would be called an "asspull"

Too bad that everyone of those 5 or 6 great swordsman are top tier. Oden, Ryuma, Shanks, Mihawk, Roger and Shiryu soon. The creme of the creme.

He's basically Ryuma reborn. That alone debunks all his "hard work" fame sadly.

not really an asspull seeing how Luffy already has better control over his CoC and is said to have a Forte in it..

besides ryou was what he derived Acoc from it was just Imbuing or releasing Coc in his attacks.. is it really an asspull when you consider his skill in Coc and his recent lessons on Ryou?

i don't think so..

if it was zoro then yes coz zoro hasn't the forte in Coc and he hasn't learnt ryou to even derive that from

That's some bullshit. Luffy did actually train for Adv CoA coating and all he had to do was reapply the same mechanism to get Adv CoC coating after getting hit by it, which isn't hard when you're a fighting genius like Luffy or Zoro - aka classic shounen protagonists

CoC cannot be trained!

Enma has already made that impossible.

Most of Zoro's strenght is earned, that much is undeniable.

Regardless we don't accurately know how much being an eventual Shimotsuki and a CoC user helped Zoro throughout his path yet.

CoC means choosing your own way and in the case of Luffy and Zoro, the hardest path. They took Enies Lobby and Onigashima head on with no "CoC safety net." Luffy was able to escape the mirror, but went back to fight a guy who was beating his ass and did not complain when that guy "cheated" and blew a hole in him with a spear. Zoro jumped in front of the strongest attack the Straw Hats had ever seen at Thriller Bark and the strongest attack in the series at Onigashima.

Luffy accepted execution with a smile from Buggy, Zoro accepted execution with a smile vs Mihawk. Ace, Oden, and pops died for real vs hated enemies (neither Akainu or Orochi have CoC). So basically, get outta here with this bullshit because within the actual story, nothing is promised and they only know how to give everything they can to make their dreams come true.

The "hard work" notion went down the drain since Oda gave him a magical sword that multiply his attack power...
This won't even matter at this point, but in a case where he didn't have Enma and yes CoC, then yes, ofc. Being born with CoC already gives you more potential than to others from the start so one doesn't need to put that much hard work as others without CoC.

Everybody who has ever reached the top of their field has an innate natural talent that others don’t have. They also then need to work hard to get where they are. That’s the CoC users.

How people don’t get that being experimented on in the womb to have a unnatural advantage that they would not otherwise be able to have leaves a very different impression is beyond me. Nobody cares about Franky having an iron body because it was his own genius and hardwork- plus being hit by a train- that led to it.

If Judge had not experimented on an unborn child, Sanji would be dead. That leaves a bad taste for two reasons
-Judge is a despicable character who abused Sanji relentlessly, so Sanji needing his work to fight at the level required is unpleasant to me.
-Sanji has done nothing to work on this powerup. He’s not even needed to train it. He just put on a RS twice and his body turned into an exoskeleton, apparently.
