Adolescence(Netflix) made me very grateful for myself and my life.

The miniseries is having a positive and much-needed cultural impact on the world, and it has had a positive impact on me. It made me feel grateful to be free from the problems portrayed in the story.
I'll explain this to you using the writing style of ScreenRant, a pop culture article site that I'm a fan of.
I avoided teenage melodramas in my life.
As I entered adolescence, I became well informed about the problems that people can face at this stage of life, such as involvement in crime, drugs and teenage pregnancy. I developed a big fear of these things and successfully avoided them all. I'm doing my best to maintain my ability to be peaceful and have a life free of the melodramas of adulthood.
I am a peaceful young man, and I know how to use technology for the right things.
I come from a caring family that educated me on everything, and I am a smart and sensible person with the ability to learn the right lessons on my own. I was never the kind of boy who causes trouble for circles of people like his family and school environment. I've always used the internet for things like following news about media I like, and researching topics that interest me. I've never come close to getting involved with the dark side of technology, like the incel underworld. I always focus on the good things in life, like being a nerd who loves fiction and achieving big changes and milestones in life.
I'm not half-assed about the female gender and the concept of romantic life, and I have all I need to have a fulfilling romantic life.
I received proper education on how to treat people of all types, and the rules of romantic life. With that, I will never self-sabotage to the point of having a life as horrible as that of people like incels. One thing I remember fondly from my school life is the times when girls would be enchanted by my appearance and tell me I was a cutie. Only recently did I understand how I look like a little angel in the form of a young man. I am taking care of my appearance and looking into starting social skills therapy in order of reach my potential of being successful with girls.
Adolescence has shown me that I have many things to be proud of about myself and my life, as I know how to keep the negative aspects of youth life in the modern world at bay. Can everyone on the forum say the same about themselves ?

Youth radicalisation has become such important topic . We live in a world where young boys look upto incel lords like Tate bros , Paul Joseph Watson etc .

The Netflix series goes in depth about psychology about the kids becoming radicalised due to online personalities I am glad this series is an eye opener this is something no one talks about .

Well I mean whom are young people supposed to look up to these days.
Traditions and communal values are being killed at light speed

Western world lacks a great role model right now .
The rest of the world is getting there, don't worry
The social media is a big problem at the moment . The bad infulencers getting good traction .
Social media is a replacement for human interaction. How did we even become like this? So many people so close to each other yet we don't know each other, barely interact or even wish to interact with strangers.
And all this because the past few generations deluded themselves into believing it's necessary to ''get a better life''. Our lives and their quality are rapidly deteriorating and still the majority go on about how this toxic lifestyle is ''modern'' and therefore preferrable.
We're wasting our lives chasing unattainable goals that were fed to us by corporations. Social media influencers is just the next evolution of TV advertising.

The show where a 13 year old boy is called an incel by adults, a 13 year old kid mind you.

How much can you honestly loathe yourself if you believe the message that young pubescent children are the real dangers to society inspite of all that is currently happening within society.

It's the young pubescent kids we should fear and automatically assume the worst of.

The hysteria already with people, actual mothers and fathers coming online to announce how they're drilling their kids because they fear their own children are gonna become serial killers one day or something.

Assuming the worst of your own child.

Truly, how much can you loathe yourself.

I remember social media when it started likes of MySpace , early version of Facebook were less toxic . The reason is corporate pumping money to increase ad revenue with money if got worse to the point it’s a cause of concern .

I don’t really use TikTok and Instagram but I was concerned with increased time spending on social media because it’s like never ending drug .

Isn't this just v2 of ''video games make children violent''?
The real issue is much more complex and adults need to realize the role they play in their own children's upbringing.
When you're too cowardly to create a society that allows you to properly parent your own children, don't be surprised when they turn to TV/Social media/influencers to fill the void.
Broken adults create broken children

Initial social media was meant to for people that already know each other wanting to stay in touch while being temporarily separated.
Until corporations realized it can be used for profit, it gradually became a replacement for true interactions.

Well I'm glad I grew up in the time before & my first sources of 18+ content was stuff like the old testament and ab urbe condita. Just as brutal and dead inside but much more down to earth.

Kids these days barely read and instead watch youtubers react to books ,immediately absorbing the YouTuber's opinion ,unable to form their own.

Anyways I do think it’s kinda goofy they made a show about a 13 year old incel.

I feel like, at least for me, life gets a lot more lonely and isolating once you become an adult. I still make friends and what not, but the connections I get from my day to day job just aren’t that valuable.

I’m in a bunch of Jewish orgs and I do still keep up with friends from HS/college, but we don’t see each other as much.

I can see how a less stable individual would become an incel

Hey staff, don't you think BillSlipton is getting off topic ?
What I mean is that we, who live free from the problems portrayed in the series, should be grateful for that, be proud of ourselves, continue like that and help the people around us to also get rid of those problems. Let's chat about it.
He is bringing politics and wokeness to this thread. I don't want this here.
