So let’s talk about Kaido dying by magma:

Is he actually dead? Let’s go through the pros and cons of Kaido dying by magma:

Pros:

1. This is a nice, consequence-free way for Oda to remove Kaido from the story without dealing with the ethical implications of drawing his main characters murder an enemy on panel. Kaido is simply too powerful for him to remain in the story, as both an enemy and an ally, and so Oda has to remove him by killing him. But Oda has never drawn his main characters murder their enemies on panel because he wants to keep events with the Straw Hats relatively light-hearted and relatively non-controversial. Killing Kaido by magma is a great way for Oda to “quietly” remove Kaido from the manga in a non-morally-complicated way.

2. Wano would finally be over after 4 brutally long years

3. The most durable Yonko dying by magma would give me a boner hard enough to break Diamond

Cons:

1. Kaido’s defeat was so pathetic that it almost seems like destiny that he should come back into the manga for a “real” defeat.

What do you guys think? Is this Death By Magma?

Kaido is dead now.
He is not bowser or ganondorf.

If kaido still alive, sanji will be most pissed off and beat him up because kaido starve people to death, abuse his daughter, . Kaido is literally sanji villain type in narrative sense. Zoro is like kill the creature like hitman like his job.

Kaido
- starve is cool
-abuse to his daughter
-fire on his body
- yonko level pain tolerance

Sanji
- starve is evil
-know family problem before like top 5 judge
-fire on his body
-yonko level pain tolerance, he is in trio of yonko pain tolerance with big mom, kaido , and sanji.

Zoro will be busy fighting milhawk and other stronger foes otherwise zoro came one shot kaido like it is Tuesday. Yeah it called cutting head off.

Pro #2 is enough of a reason for me to accept this. I don't care how legitimately pathetic an ending this is since my investment in this arc and any of it's characters went straight past rock bottom and into subterranean territory.

Kaido majorly sucked as an antagonist, especially as a near endgame antagonist. The end. Lel.

There's such little emphasis on Kaido as he's in the magma that I'm unsure if he's really dying here.

Could you imagine the Saga antagonist from chapter 659 thru to 1050 getting zero panel of him dying lol?

As much as I'd like it to be this simple, I think it'd be... Incredibly rushed and the worst of oda's writing if this is Kaido's last panel.

The 9 shadows have just appeared in the capital and the dawn could just as easily break as Momoron's adult form is revealed next chapter so half of Toki's prophecy seems to be virtually fulfilled. This can indeed support Kaido's death by magma (Admirals reign supreme). :datas:

However, there are some things that make me doubt Kaido is dead:

1. Toki's sun and moon portion of the prophecy made no sense at all if Kaido dies now since only the brilliance of Nika the Sun is known but not Shimotsuki the Moon. :hope:

2. Too anticlimactic, as is obvious. :kobeha:

3. Enma is yet to turn black and the only relevant way to do it is ZKK. I mean, it won't turn black by beating Shiryu or Kizaru or Fujitora, I can tell you that much. :jay-he:

4. Most importantly, Momoron deciding not to open the borders of Wano, which ties to the fearsome reputation of the Wanonese samurais, who contributed nothing to the defeats of the most important members of the Beast Pirates.

The escaping CP0 member could then simply tell the incoming WG forces that the Samurais' reputation is a giant hoax and since the pirates defending them are exhausted atm, it's now or never to absorb Wano into WG.

That is to say, if not for a single Wanonese shows a godly feat like ZKK, WG will never stop trying to break through the Wanonese borders even long after the SHs are gone. This necessitates ZKK by a samurai like Zoro, imo, to let the whole world know that someone with Wanonese blood can still do the unthinkable (although Zoro is arguably half-Wanonese, since his surname is Spanish, but he still counts, regardless).

This means an awakened Kaido trying to attack the capital one last time is possible. After all, the Gorosei did mention that Mythical Zoan DFs have their own will, so Uo Uo going berserk and awakening are not improbable. This should also open up a plot where ZKK is a mercy kill as to not appear heartless in the eyes of the readers.

That aside, there is a 'consolation prize' offered by some members here in that, although ZKK may not happen after all, Zoro can still lead the Samurais to ward off CP0 and the WG forces.

However, I don't think it needs to be mentioned that, since CP0 is virtually the Gorosei's personal corps, having at least 5 of their named members and the WG forces run away because of Zoro alone at present time (where even the Blackbeard Pirates ran away from CP0), no matter how badass that would be, will forever ruin the WG's hype as the series' main antagonists beyond repair and indirectly also kill BBP's hype.

I mean, if current Zoro can already make CP0 and WG take a hike without reaching his EoS level, who but members of the Temple of the Grandmaster can still be excited for future villains and adventures? :jordanmf:
