Break Week All the decisions Oda has taken in Wano seem to point to Oda losing interest in some of the straw hats

I think it's more of a symptom of Oda focusing on way too many characters at once rather than him losing interest in them.

Dressrosa had some great moments for Usopp and Franky but completely sidelined Robin, WCI was great for Sanji, Brook and even Nami to an extent but Chopper felt like a side character. Wano has focused a lot on Zoro and Sanji and at least gave some of them 1v1 fights, but as you said Usopp and Brook are just there.

The sheer scale of the conflicts we've had since Marineford (almost every major arc since then has been a war of some kind) has taken away a lot of focus from the SHs as a group sadly.

From all the interviews I've seen about Wano, it seems Oda was really excited to start this arc and this is an arc he's been dying to work on for years.

But the second we got to Wano there were like 70 chapters of nothing but side characters and Luffy, Zoro and a little bit of Sanji.

Thinking about this it seems kind of weird that the arc Oda has been dying to work on for ages, his long awaited project neglected 70% of the straw hats for 2 years.

Raizo got a fight and Brook and Usopp didn't lol, I don't mean to be such a downer but the straw hats outside of the monster trio and Kid and Law getting less screen time than the scabbards in Oda's most anticipated, longest arc kinda reveal that Oda has lost interest in his main characters
Luffy and Zoro eat and sleep while the servants work, the Strawhats. :myman:

It should be noted that Non M3 Fights were never really focused on in the first place. Oda always saw those as a Gimmicky Side Dish compared to M3 Fights

People expected Oda to buck this trend in the new world due to the hype Yonko crews and even The New World as a whole got got but as we can see. Oda never changed for better or worse

Chopper got some good focus against Queen even though he was in over his head, but his audacity and ability to overcome Queen's own science was his highlight, Chopper's medicine shits on Queen's plagues.

Brook, Robin, Franky have been whatever. They could have had better focus and they did have some really good moments as well as their own Tobi Roppo battles. Robin is still central to the antagonists' plans while Franky and Brook play support role in many cases.

However, Usopp and Nami's treatments in Wano were so abysmal that it makes me think that they'll probably get some good focus in Elbaf. Otherwise they will forever be Carrot-tier levels of SH relevance at this point.

Good. Because Shs hogging the spotlight is getting plain and boring.

This is why I think the final war should follow the same formula as the Marineford arc. Less spotlight on the Shs and more on the top tier characters.

I want to see more Sakazuki, Dragon, Fujitora, Blackbeard, Mihawk, Shanks, Ryokugyu, Kuzan, Kizaru, and others.

9 scabbards are too much. I rather we had 3 or 4

maybe even make them 7 like the movie it’s based on but some died during the 20 year time skip
I also think about this. It is actually interesting to have side characters, but in Wano there are just too many. It might be better to just have 2-3 like what we had back then with Vivi, Wyper, Peel, Chaka, etc
