Theory Animism: Natural Hierarchies

#1
There are hierarchies in the natural world. I'll point out one of the most obvious ones.

Shirahoshi commands the Sea Kings, but the Sea Kings each rule over different territories, and within those territories, there are things like the Lord of the Coast and small forms of life like fish and crabs that also inhabit those environments.

The reason why this occurs though is actually based on animism. It's the idea that animals can possess life force energy, but it's usually the large ones that are intelligent. For example, the elephant has a high magnitude of life force energy and it is considered intelligent, but microscopic organisms are different. They're not considered alive, and they're not considered intelligent because they lack a strong "voice", so they can't use sophisticated language like that of a telepathic link.

Compare how Sea Kings speak to how the animals that Chopper translates for speak.

1. Sea Kings use complex language.
- This includes demonstrating high levels of self awareness, emotional maturity, and the ability to form plans and use tools.

2. Most animals use simple language.
- This includes environmental responses guided by instinct, basic emotions, and an inability to recognize others have thoughts.

In other words, this is the reason animals can communicate using their "voice" telepathically. It's because they have powerful souls, but only some animals are like that. They have to be like the Sea Kings or Zunisha. Other animals can't even use language properly because they're basically dumb.

The roach will always be below the Hercules Beetle in gigachadiness.
