Character Discussion Are Kaido and Bigmom silver medalists ?

Crocodile must of had his reasons to infer what he inferred despite he didn't show evidence. Regardless, it's the most likely scenario here.
Just think about it... Kaido only challenged Whitebeard by exploiting the propitious moment the war matter had to offer, but somehow he didn't attempt to attack him earlier. Is it a coincidence for any possible how? We can't rule it out entirely, but this is how it stands to our current knowledge.
Prime Kaido (assuming he didn't grow in these 2 years) taking on the weakest possible Shirohige by making the most of a chaotic plot situation.

If you think Yonko is silver medalists you must have low level reading comprehension or you must be hating Yonko so much that you are lying about it.
Crocodile is talking about the losers inside the Impel Down, who lost to Whitebeard and Roger and failed forever.
Yonko never lost to Whitebeard like Crocodile. Whitebeard even said he can't beat Yonko Kaido. They are in the same position as Whitebeard. Why would Yonko Whitebeard be a gold medalist but other 3 Yonko are not? Lmao. If you are going to make excuse about ''oh WB didn't want to finD Laugh Tale'' how on earth Crocodile knows that? He couldn't. So other 3 Yonko can't be silver medalist while Yonko Whitebeard isn't according to Crocodile.
Also since you like Crocodile so much you should also remember what Crocodile said about Whitebeard in marineford before wanking the Admirals. He said Whitebeard was pathetic and weak man. Since you accept Crocodile's word as law, don't forget that.

When WB was alive:

After his death there is no one contender to take up the throne. This is no era of Linlin or Kaido, who are actively trying to become the PK, and have tried so and failed.

When Roger became PK there was no yonkou system in place. There was no balance of power in place.
But after he ushered the Golden pirate era, things have drastically changed.
We have four yonkous with territories and strength to nullify each other advancement to become PK. We have Balance of power.
So, it's unfair to call BM and Kaido silver medalist.

IMO each Era have Greatest Duo, Gold Medalists
Last Era it was Roger & WB, currently it's Shanks & Mihawk & later Luffy & Zoro
And Each Era had a group of Silver Medalists and few of them stand out as Strongest
Last Era it had Shiki & BM, currently Kaido & Teach & later Kid & Law (Or another Supernova)
