Questions & Mysteries Are you dissapointed how Oda portrayed Zoro, Mihawk , swordsmanship in an arc related to samurais ?

No irony but not even ODEN was portrayed as being a deterrent to outside forces like Ryuma and Kaidou.
Oden lacked development, but I don't believe he would be a deterrent to enemies like Kaidou was.

Kaidou is even more impressive than Ryuma as he didn't need the samurai or a country at its height to scare enemies, he only did it with his own resources (strength).

Since the Wano Country in Ryuma Period > Wano Country under Orochi, this is a fact, samurai lost their honor, samurai who remained loyal were sent to Udon or killed by Kaidou like those 3 daimyo, the country was in extreme poverty, civilians were forced the work, all citizens were disarmed which prevented new samurai from constantly being born, it's for reasons like these that Kaidou is more impressive than Ryuma.

Tbh I'm very dissapointed I wish I had known more about zoro backstory oda teases with ushimaru and Shimotsuki but later he didn't want to go further excusing that zoro past is very complex
He will not drop Zoro's background and his family.
He even answer in an SBS that ushimaru is not Zoro's father.
Just because we assume that Zoro's family will be revealed in wano, doesn't mean that oda forget it because he didn't do it.
He teased us with some really important stuff and he will return when he wants.
Zoro's lineage will be revealed.

Not to mention reduced zoros (unharmable, untouchable) opponent to fodder in the eyes of Admiral...
No Zoros backstory at all... The character outside hes coolnes is empty boring shell...
Luffy is messiah the Roger , Ryuma, Oden and Joyboy of the arc - the worst character so far... never seen character getting so many powerups in One arc since original DBZ
Mihawk like we all predicted was YC level... But swordsmanship and the Title of WSS become absolutely meaningless after Wano...

I mean I understand how Zoro fans feel... they are completely broken ... But can only blame themselves for making up delusional headcanons that would never happen,
they were told to by normal fans to lower their expectations, but now the harm is allready done... some fans are normal like me... and probably dissapointed by this arc just like I am, I really wanted it to focus on zoro.... but Oda gave everything to luffy.
You are killing with this love for Zoro.
I know you are a fan but try to look more objective.
You make it like zoro is a God or something.
Just an * gb defeated beaten and wounded warriors. Don't give him fake credit man.
All his speech about unstoppable force and i will kill thousands, fly out of the window in a really shameful manner.

Though he already teased he is a Shimotsuki the parallels with ushimaru and ryuma his birthday in november kozaburo calling him zoromaru in the leaks
In the sbs he only denied he wasn't his dad but he didn't want to go further explaining zoro lineage is very complex

Yes it is complex i agree but i believe patience will reward us.
I hadn't noticed, kozaburo called zoro, zoromaru thanks for the info.
This is quite interesting, fate is in store for zoro, now if people don't like fate stuff, they will not like this lol.

I've said it several times but I'll repeat it for those who still haven't answered.

Wano was not a samurai arc, Wano was an arc that took place in a samurai country. They are different things, samurai were not the focus of the arc, the focus was the emperors.

Zoro was treated very well, of course we wanted more and so it seems it was not enough.

Luffy being God Nika and Zoro not being Shimnotsuki for me is a blessing. Luffy is the puppet of fate who has everything and everyone in his favor, Zoro is the opposite, he will reach the top with his effort and against the odds, that's what is surprising.

No way, I love how the backstories of Zoro/Mihawk will almost certainly be skipped over in the manga so they can be content for SBS/Vivre Cards, making people spend more money if they want to learn more. Who else would develop their legacy characters in such a genius way but GODA!!!!!
