JoJo ED 4 hits different.

Funny you say that tbh. I was revisiting it randomly and it ironically hit me like a high speeding steam train.
I never used to like it at all but now I think it's so beautiful, poetic and soulful and the sheer amount of spoiler laden symbolism is wonderful.
Given what happens by the end, it really does feel like bittersweet eulogy and thus brutally, emotionally ironic that it shoes the gang alive snd seemingly all going home together.

I read a comment analysing all the foreshadowing, symbolism, tributes etc, obviously with heavy spoilers and it made me love that ending so much.

A certain life long best friend of mine introduced me to Jojo and that's one of the best things he's ever done for me by far, although he's done so nany wonderful things including recently. Closest thing I've had to a Jojobro/JoBro IRL along with some other friends I have past and orrsent too, former and current.

Jojo is a magnificent series especially the anime too, so beautiful, poetic, emotional, bold, unique, humanised etc. This ending sing, especially in its entirety is so much better than I realised and now I listen to and adore the full song too, after needlessly and ignorantly hating it for so many years!
It's now one of my best known endings for Jojo and other series now, LMAO!

I was gonna go with this for my choice, I've loved Duffy since I was a teenager but didn't know about this song because I'm a fraud too ironically:

It's such a tremendously beautiful, soulful, defiant song, especially if you know tve absolutely traumatic hell she experienced some years ago, relating to her sudden disappearance.
Major trigger warnings genuinely:
She was kidnapped by some rich psychopath and raped repeatedly for weeks, if not months.
I cried so hard when I found about that. Knowing why that was the reason she disappeared and that happened to her, is soul destroying. Can't even imagine what it have been like for her, which makes music by her like this song all the more profound in hindsight and that she's never given up amf bounced back!

Distant Dreamer as well as some of her other songs are absolutely fantastic. Mercy, Warwick Avenue, Stepping Stone, Rain On Your Parade etc. (The last one was meant to be the Bond song for Quantum of Solace and should have been, argh!)

I was gonna enter with Distant Dreaner anyway, but chose something else ultimately, heh. It's just as good though imo, easily.

This ED is fucking wonderful too, the band are fantastic too:

Mmmm, these are some really interesting entries! You guys always deliver in these contests and I appreciate that a lot!

Josh Groban is very nostalgic, used to love his voice and think he was pretty cool. I remember his song Brave especially, that one used to hit home a lot for me.

That Spy X Family one is very charming and sweet, its a nice vibe. I need to check out that series sometime!

The Chainsaw Man one is really something else too! So very different and unique! Just noticed Maximum the Hormone did that one too, very fitting choice! That demonic chant around 20 seconds gave me chills and those female vocals later when Makima appears were great too!

The Vinland one is very nice, I struggled which one to vote for on some of these, it was neck and neck for sure. Beautiful ending.

Gundam's ending was very nostalgic, although I've not seen the series but that kind of music is nostalgic for growing up on Naruto with similar style OPs and such.

Mob Psychos ending was quite nice too, love the blue theme in the visuals themselves, nice song generally too.

Steins Gate one was good too! A very nice ending too. Its one serious I've always had a glossing interest over but not sure if I'd be able to follow it and enjoy it too.
