Powers & Abilities Chimera/Duel Devil Fruits?

We have known for a long time that Vegapunk has been researching and experimenting with Devil Fruits. First discovering how they work, then infusing them into weapons. Is the Next step combining two Devil Fruits. Like creating Devil fruits that are both Zoan and logia like a suede mythic Zoan type, or combining two Zoans?

This was my idea for the new SSG weapon, but instead we got the boring Seraphim. I hope Oda explores this in the future, though.
