In the last year we got the concept of CoC haki coating and many started to call it advanced CoC haki, a name the was never confirmed by Oda.
Sure it is advanced technique but it is not just CoC haki it is a combination of CoC and CoA haki, which makes attacks and defense stronger .
and we came to notice as well that Kaido depens on it very much to strengthen his attacks, while BM seems to depends on it more for her defense and endurance.
we saw too that Kaido can use it for defense like he was attacked by the scabbards, the was lightning coming from him too, and BM showed that she could use it for attacks as well against Page One. but it seems that every character has its forte so Kaido's forte is CoC haki imbued attacks , while BM's forte is CoC haki imbued defense.
Luffy ins his fight with Kaido grasped the concept very quickly and applied without any problems, so he was able to use it the same way Kaido uses and at the end he can competes with Kaido without any problems.
and later Oda showed us that Zoro can use CoC in combination with his CoA to attack as well but for sure for endurance since has a freaky endurance after all, which is very suitable for Zoro as a swordsman, i am pretty sure Mihawk has the same forte as Zoro.
as we know , CoA haki is linked tightly with attack power and endurance, while CoO haki is tightly like with sensing and speed.
I am pretty sure soon we will come to see that CoC haki can be used in combination with CoO as well, to enhance it as well, so someone like Luffy and Katakuri would be able to see further in the future and sense more, than they already too.
Shanks is someone who is known for his CoC haki since he doesn't have any DF you can assume he can use CoC haki in every possible way, but i aussme his forte will be still with CoC haki in combination with CoO, and we already got hints of that as well.
Shanks seems to know what will happen , he saw Luffy potential from the beginning , he warned WB about BB and predicted what he is up too as well, and more than that he seems to be a speedy type and even have a fate of coming from the new world after stopping Kaido to stop the war in MF in a day, so we can assume he can uses CoC haki not only to speed himself but maybe even his ship as well.
assuming Sanji will get CoC haki, his forte will be again related with CoO and speed , so maybe he will be able to earse his presence , sense more intensively , see far in the future and to have an insane speed.
