Blackbeard knew the Book of Devilfruits for some reason and he has a weird body that allows him to consume more than one Devilfruit. Sanji also knew the book, due to his father. His father modified the DNA of his children. It would fit if Blackbeard's DNA was somehow also manipulated by MADS. The coverstory could feature more flashbacks about MADS, which could involve Blackbeard.
