This is a video by A youtuber who rarely makes good points but has actually said something very interesting this time.

Oda in an interview once said that 9/11 affected why he brought back Pell after him having clearly set him up to die.

This youtuber has had this stance that the biggest death in Wano is going to be Law.

But now he has connected 9/11 to The corona virus pandemic and specifically the huge number of MEDICAL WORKERS who have died in the battle against the virus.

And yes Law is a doctor who many people say will die trying to heal Luffy or something which means Law will die while performing a medical procedure, like in real life with the pandemic

The youtuber concludes that it's highly likely that Oda will NOT kill any medicone proficient characters in respect for the corona situation same way as he didn't kill Pell. This means Law and Marco no longer have death flags. And then Oda could go even further TO NOT KILL ANYBODY AT ALL in the rest of Wano due to the virus.

And I'm going to add on Queen, THE PLAGUE. The one who fights using viruses, that one. I feel as though Oda will augment certain aspects of how he fights and his PLAGUE abilities also due to the corona.

Imo no, at least nope from the story or important/relevant/very noticeable parts so no stress on doctors or Queen plague powers but maybe there are small details we are already seeing. Ulti and Page one have both what it seems to be a medical mask (maybe with particular colors but even forms like many we are seeing right now, it is becoming part of fashion like any other piece of cloth). and that is a first (Kata had some kind of scarf, the CP guys have masks etc. but Ulti and Page one seem to be the first to have this kind of masks, maybe the germa ranger suits had something similair..).

Also since Oda is japanese and writing for a japanese audiance, the rest of the world is just collateral market and popular wise (a little like football with Europe and South America) it would be interesting to see if Fukushima provoked some changes in the One piece of those times but I doubt it (and anyway it was way smaller even if it was localized with Japan).

Yes, corona will affect the story. Before the virus, One Piece was sagging with the weight of expectation, and a promise was made that Oda would stick the landing; after the virus, he’s gonna pivot and make it so that every character who seemed dead actually wasn’t, something he never did before the timeskip. Ace, Whitebeard, Roger, Rocks - they’re all coming back, and better than ever. Chopper will immediately become the only protagonist, with all the other Straw Hats joining Enel on the moon (the only safe place for quarantine), and the treasure on Laugh Tale is actually a vaccine. The other Supernovae will go to medical school and appoint Chopper the Pharmacy King, and all the previously deceased characters will be seen in his waiting room as the final panel of the series.

It can because people in the world are idiots.
I remember when China cried about the name of the AFO Doctor in MHA.
People should f'ing chill OMG OMG HE SAID VIRUS WHAT A FUCKING DISRESPECT TO THE PEOPLE WHO DIED.

I hate this view on the world tbh. If I cared about people making fun of my depression or anything else I would already be hanging in the closest forest or should I go and cry to the TV reporters OMG OMG HOW CAN YOU MAKE FUN OF THE DEPRESSION YOU HAVE NO HEART.

Gosh, I hate everything world view/politics related.

But the sad truth is that Jump and Shueisha care about how they are seen by the higher-ups. Don't be surprised if they change Queen chapters so 5-year-old kids won't find that Queen used a poison on the poor prisoners.

Yes ,because Oda needed Corona,to not kill people..
Below a part from one of Oda's interview ..
Not many enemies or allies had died previously, which made it even more devastating.

I don’t want to draw scenes where people die—I just want to draw more post-battle feasts. I mean, how are you supposed to party after someone just died? Those feasts are my idealized image of friendship. In fact, I’d like to end the series with a massive feast.
