After his betrayal I don't think that Big Mom and the BMP would have make him a prisonner if they got their hands on him, they would most likely have killed him. Same for the other Sun Pirates and the Vinsmokes.

Why do you suddenly forget Oven? Or even Smoothie? Also, what about the Vinsmokes? Jinbe just can't let them die like that.

That makes BM look even worse. It'd be better, if he was captured and then freed later on.

Jinbe escaping BM without any notable injuries makes no sense. The question here is, why do people want BM to look like a joke? Hasn't she suffered enough already?

My counter is good too. Jinbei is far from being the first person to have escaped an apparently unescapable situation with no explanation out of plot armor or PIS and BM is certainely not the first top Tier to have been escaped by people far weaker than her due to that. If she is a joke so are Aokiji, Kizaru, Sengoku, Garp, Kaido and many others.

This was a battle between a crew full of DF users and a crew that fights using the sea itself as a weapon. Its time to accept that boss Jimbei has defeated the mere yonko and made his way to the future PK safely

Jinbe was on the sea already and was just waiting for Luffy's group to escape.
All he needed to do was go underwater in a second without fighting back anymore. And no, I don't see Oven being enough to completely stop the fishmen fleeing at full speed underwater.
