No, it’s not black and as for your logic of oda not having planned out black blades… both black blades in the story (Mihawk,ryuma) were introduced pre time skip as well as him showing us nasujuro blade which was not black
OP readers when they learn that writers can retroactively incorporate old details into new lore :shocked:

Alright lets break this down.

Pre time skip nusjuro weilding his blade which is not a permanent black blade. Black shading on top white shading on bottom of blade.

Unsheathing blade with the same black shading on top and white shadingon bottom, this is the same as pre time skip no haki applied.

Zoro with his non haki blades with the same black shading on top and white on bottom no haki applied.

Both user coat there blades in arnament haki... your cope is finished nusjuro does not have a permanent black blade nor will e ever be stronger than Mihawk.:kata:

Thats not one panel with minor detail
we got Two with a close up
Remember this is way before we had any clue that black blades were important at all. One panel of Venus polishing his unsheathed sword in the background and one extremely close up panel with only like 10% of the sword in frame isn’t gonna be remembered by anyone except obsessive powerscalers who scavenge through the manga to win an argument
Just a comment, Oda already did this kind of retcon before, and it was for Shusui. In Monsters, it's just a regular blade, but for the 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation (supervised by Oda), Shusui is a black blade already.

P.S.: I don't think that Nusjuro has a black blade, at least for now.

@Shiroyru

If Venus is meant to be Zoro’s final opponent, then Oda has written himself into a wall by having them clash now.

Now that Zoro knows about Venus, saw his blade, and clashed with his haki — he should have a general sense of where Venus stands power-wise. Especially if they go on to clash even more in the upcoming chapters.

This means that if Zoro believes Venus to be stronger than Mihawk, he will go into the Mihawk fight knowing it will mean nothing for him and knowing that he won’t actually be the WSS even if he wins.

So it’s either Nasjuro has been disqualified from being Zoro’s final opponent, or even if he is Zoro’s final opponent he won’t be stronger than Mihawk.
