Character Discussion Gege should've included a training arc in between Gojo's unsealing & the Gojo vs Sukuna fight

#1
I was mentally retreading the problems of JJK (which I do a lot),* I was thinking of easy & clever ways to introduce characterization, which I think it he biggest problem in JJK; that there's little chatting between friend's. And I thought: why not have a training arc? This would've been perfect. Of course, Gege purposefully didn't include one probably because he's tired of JJK, but more likely that he wanted to suspend a lot of surprises for the end. But I feel that he could've shown their training WITHOUT showing them devising the entire plan, & it would've been good. Here are some dynamic ideas I had.

Shoko & that guy who had that sugar-transfering technique:
Shoko could've taken that guy under her wing to teach various ways to manipulate RCT output, increase it, & shown some nifty Jujutsu-tech-gadgets or something. She could've exposited about Gojo & Geto's loneliness, how cursed energy/cursed techniques bind people to set fate's, & her experiences as a woman & maybe talk about Yuki?

Kashimo & Hakari:
Hakari could have some cool moments talking about gambling your life, Kashimo could've exposited about the Hein era, & the tales he heard of Sukuna, & what Kenjaku was doing in Noritoshi Kamo.

Yuta & Gojo
Both of them one-on-one, Yuta trying to open up Gojo to talk about Geto, & them arguing that Gojo nver lets anoyone in. Maybe a hurtful line from Gojo. This could've made the body-swap surprise more sad & meaningful.

Yuji, Noritoshi, Choso, Kusakube:
Chat about being brothers, Choso talks about Yuki, Noritoshi talks about Kamo clan & the history of some of their techniques. Maybe throw in Kusakube to get a gag-reaction of Choso & some awkward hijinks where Choso dislikes the body-swap thing. That would make his role as a brother feel more real. Kusakube could use falling blossom against Noritoshi or Choso in a spar, which would foreshadow Gojo versus Sukuna.

Maki & Higuruma:
Maybe we could have them chat & have Maki really feel for Higuruma's sense of justice. I'd rather had Higuruma be kept lonely & out of the interactions to make him seem more self-castigating. Maybe we could occasionally throw in some scenes of Maki working out all alone, & some strength feats to hype her up.

I could think up more. Suggest some characters if you want my ideas.

@Alexis2282AE what do you think?

EDIT: To be clear, I was more thinking these could happen at slightly different times, mostly taking place right before Shinjuku.

He never should've done the Culling games. Have the good guys go after Kenjaku directly to try and get the Prison Realm from him. Introduce 2-3 more cronies besides Uraume. Eventually, just as Kenjaku is being killed and Gojo freed, have Sukuna chant Enchain and take over Megumi's body. Continue from there
Megkuna right after Shibuya would be peak. It would've also helped feed into Yuji's characterisation as a 'cog', & maybe he could go through the manga meeting more people & experiencing them through battle & conversations.

It's somewhat interesting how everything Gege revealed was already foreshadowed (excluding the last few chapters). From Yuji gaining Sukuna's CT, Blood Manipulation, or even a Simple Domain, to the last finger of Sukuna being used by the good guys. From Soul Swap to Maki's sword being able to damage souls, and even Yuji himself being able to do so.

I think Gege just wanted to reveal the things he had already hinted at and skip the training, jumping right to the exciting fight between Gojo and Sukuna. Even so, it would have undoubtedly been a better move to have at least one chapter dedicated to these characters interacting and having their moments.

Agreed. I just caught up and that random month-long timeskip felt pretty out of place. I was hyped for Gojo vs Sukuna, but I was also hyped for more Gojo banter with the gang.

His letter to Megumi is the funniest thing in the series, that's the kind of thing I was hoping for more of before the final battle.

Gege literally showed us all of this incorporated as flashbacks to explain the strategies against Sukuna. If he did all of this from the start there would be no tension or suspense as to what happens next

Every time they did something new that required explanation, we got a piece of the training arc. This is a good way to provide exposition without forcing the reader to remember EVERYTHING you said from the start. Most JJK readers have short-term memory and can't read for shit as the fandom constantly proves

There were many things that could've been done better in the final battle but leaving out the training arc was one of the better choices

He could've maintained suspense because plans don't always work out.

That was the whole point of them jumping from Plan A to B to C one after the other you genius

Were you even reading the manga or did you actually get your comprehension from tik tok leaks
You just proved my point that the training arc wouldn't have affected the Shinjuku showdown. You just assumed I never read the manga, sillypants. Now put on some real clothes.
