The Prophesied Matchup Finally Arrives lol.

Rules:
-Some of the Generals featured in this tournament have only hype and no feats, so just vote based on who you think would win based on whatever reasoning you feel!
-You MUST vote in the poll for your vote to count!
-Discussion is of course always welcome but keep it civil. Feel free to try and persuade each other why the General you feel is stronger overall would win.

Round 4 - Pools

Kan Ki
(Even though he was never officially a Great General lol)

-Kan Ki has the same Bandit Army that he brought into Koku You Hills, 60,000 men
-Subordinate Generals/Commanders: Rin Gyoku, Rai Do, Ma Ron, Koku'ou, Zenou, Saki, Naki, Ogiko, etc

VERSUS

Ri Boku

-Has a version of the Zhao Army he brought to Shukai Plains, 80,000 including the 40K horsemen that he used against Ou Ki
-Subordinate Generals/Commanders: Ba Nan Ji, Shun Sui Ju, Kaine, Fu Tei, Earl Rai, Earl Kou, etc (NOT Gyou'Un and Chou Garyuu)

Location: Dakan Plains
A large flatland featuring 2 Central hills (Disregard the 3rd hill for fairness sake)

Scenario: War to slay the opposing commander or force them to surrender by any means necessary. Literally any strategy or lack-there-of is allowed. If you think one of the Generals would permanently retreat, count that as a loss for that General.

The Winner of this match proceeds on in Winners, the Loser heads to the losers bracket.

Who Wins and Why?

Numbers don’t mean that much lol, most of the major battles we’ve seen the Qin win, they had numerical disadvantages.

“Wars are determined by tactics/army unity rather than just numbers”-A butchered paraphrasing of an epic quote from Sun Tzu
Yes, and Riboku not only has more men, but is also better than Kanki.

Kanki is a special situation guy. But this is a fairly "dull" scenario. He doesn't have many opportunities to come up with a special plan.

Why..?? Just why..?? I so wanted Kanki to proceed in the tournament. Well he gets another shot though. :myman:
BTW most of Kanki’s method is to attack the opposition in the most twisted mind f**k way possible and Riboku is too composed of a man to fall for such tricks. Also Riboku got veterans like Banaji and Earl twins. :kata:

Believe it or not but this could go either way. @Admiral Lee Hung you think Kanki is so easy to get bullied :blobevil:

Kanki is definitely going to be a physical beast considering him commanding all of these strong barbarians. But currently this being a speculation only.

Kanki's unorthodox methods and cunning/psychic tactics would be too much to handle even for Riboku even if this battle in plain fields. In open fields, he slayed Han's commander in chief and made GouHoMei cry like a kid. Though know it was sneaky attack but still was in open fields.

You can't judge the results just based on Riboku's hype.

Though we're going to see this match up actually happening in manga soon so why not wait for the results. Riboku's strategical and instinctual moves vs Kanki's unorthodox methods would be unimaginably amazing.

I don't know how Riboku would benefit from Dakan Plains but his vassals are not as powerful as Kanki's. Zenou launched Kisui away like a little kitten lol. i don't see how the Zhao can stop his momentum. and not giving them Gyou'un and Chougaryu is also helping Kanki here.

but again, the only reason Keisha lost against Kanki was because he's dumb as fuck to leave his post and advance in battlefield. i feel like Riboku would have much more patience and outsmart Kanki here by trapping key factors like Raidou and Zenou using Ryuudou formation and shit.

Unfortunately I think the scenario also does not allow Kan Ki to shine, being placed on a relatively open battlefield with little terrain for him to exploit to use his trickery against Ri a Boku is a pretty big nerf for someone with his particular style of warfare. Perhaps the later rounds will be more kind to him lol.

So with kanji being forced to fight the Riboku army head on with more traditional tactics, he will likely get whopped. Raido is a strong general overall but I overall think his abilities are lesser than Shunsuiju or Bananji. Zenou is a brute with extreme strength but he will also be outsmarted by Bananji and Shunsuiju Who again, are above him in ability.

Koku’ou and Maron are competent but in this particular setting they would not be enough to make a difference.

Ri Boku himself wouldn’t need to do too much, in this scenario his subordinates would likely be enough to just win the battle by themselves while Riboku would just observe the overall battlefield making sure he was prepared for any nonsense kanji might try and pull.

So yeah. Unfortunately for Kanki, he gets gimped by this particular scenario. Let’s see what the future of this tourney holds for him
:dogood:
