Personally, for me, I think WB is the greatest pirate in OP. The dude had no dream of being World's Strongest Anything nor did he want to be a conqueror, but he grew strong enough to equal the Pirate King. Plus, all he ever wanted was a family, he never searched for personal glories.

Let the official translations arrive first. On the topic of borrowing and Oden, it is not like that it was an understanding between WB and Roger only, Oden wanted to go, despite WB's displeasure at that.
Roger earned his Pirate King title, even if he was the only one who vied for it.
Despite everything people are saying, only Roger knew that there was an island beyond Lodestar Island, WB didn't. Roger knew the One Piece World the best. And nobody had actually ever beaten him as far as we know.

Usopp!!! Greatest of all time! Why? Because anybody can be great when they've got ridiculous strength, but Usopp is the every-man. He's the regular dude living his dream and conquering Grandline with the future king of the pirates. He's facing challenges that are way above his strength tier, and getting through by the skin of his teeth.

we know who will become greatest pirate at the end....this thread itself is silly....WB/Roger/Luffy are same in one way....all will go any length for their nakama...it is just WB does as a "father" figure....only their goals are different...Luffy wants to protect the islands of his nakama like WB while want to become PK like Roger......
Yeah but Roger figured all the secrets and even defeated Rocks before with the help of Garp.
