General & Others How do you feel about Kaido as a character and as a villain?

Will let you know after the arc 100%. But right now he's still mysterious and Oda still hasn't gone into the origins of his character.
As far as a villain goes, he's starting to become my favorite one so far after Big Mom. But not really on par with Big Mom yet, maybe when Oda decides to go in depth with him he will, who knows.
Has he been enjoyable? Oh for sure. What bothered me so far however is the non-wild beast like way he's gotten after the Luffy fight. Which is a good thing as he's acting more like a proper emperor/ruler, but in a way sort of a bad thing as well since I assume many were expecting him to be a straight savage.

Kaido's ok. He's got a personality and isn't just some stoic badass. He just needs more feats at the moment, and just needs an edge e.g. cruelty
His crew? Not so much. 500 mofo zoans in one crew? Turned out to be a scam and a half.
Apart from his top commanders, worst gen members and the tobi roppi, the crew is lacking for a yonko.

Nothing really sets him apart. His character is all over the place. Hes just really there isnt he.
I guess in terms of appearence is where he truly shines. He one of the best designed characters and is intimidating to an extent.
But yh as a villain he really falls flat. Like Big Meme. His entire villany is overshadowed by Orochi, making Kaido into a Frakenstein like Monster type. Only being there because he is the strongest on his side, nothing more.

Both Kaido and Big Mom are not really all that bright, they only act smart and rational when they aren't drunk or craving for a specific food and during situations where Oda wants them to be normal. Kaido and Big Mom's subordinates and allies such as Orochi, Jack, Katakuri, and Perospero are more smarter than them.
Kaido is mixed for me right now, I like his design and df ability and I also like his personality as well. However his overall character is still lacking and as a villain he has been so far disappointing, he barely gets that much focus and characters like Orochi and Queen have so far overshadowed him.
I like his design ( clearly inspired by genghis khan), I like his personality which seems to be in line with vikings( respects only the strong). At first I thought he would be a barbarian but then I forgot that genghis was actually extremely smart and adaptable. So I like that part of him.
Now for my problems, I feel like for an arc about him and orochi. The focus was too much on orochi/wano and almost nonexistent on him. We barely saw the dude or his motivations at all. Usually when a villain is supposed to go down and it’s his arc, they get as much screen time if not more than the mc. In this case we only saw kaido 4 times, 2 of which were in a flashback and one of them was a two panels appearance. So I am hoping we get to know more about him in the future, what he is about. His past and overall shedding light on the man. As it is, I’m starting to believe he won’t go down this arc if he keeps being this shrouded in mystery.

Being the unbeatable monster, not only in theory like a lot of villains have been portrayed to be when Luffy faced them, but literally.
Call it dull or whatever, but at least it was unique and apparently the reason why Kaido is suicidal and suffers from mood swings. Which are nice little details and added more depth to his character.
Now since Oden cut him, heck almost ended his life in one hot, all the suspense, intimidation and the question of how and why that "thing" as Big Mom called him, are gone or at least not really apparent, unless current Kaido is not the same as when he fought Oden, which I hope is going to be the case.
