How come every canon statement or statement by Oda is tossed aside as headcanon?

Garp's BoP statement is tossed aside as Garp not knowing what he's talking about

Chinjao saying beating the yonko or admirals is a foolish thought gets deflected as him being an irrelevant hasbeen

Luffy saying he cant be PK without beating the yonko and Admirals gets tossed aside as Luffy being an idiot

Oda saying Bullet can't prove he's the strongest without beating all the yonko and Admirals gets tossed aside as a non manga source.

Shanks became a rival of BM , wb and kaido only 6 years ago.
It's up to you to prove he was yonko level before that.
Even in ace novel it shows he wasn't yet seen as someone truly equal to them 4-5 years ago
Then 2 years ago in the manga we see him splits the skies with Wb and stopped kaido
