Obviously yes, Zoro is going to become stronger to beat Queen.

What challenge Oda decides to create for Zoro in this fight might not be predictable but if he fights him there's definitely will be some catch for Zoro. Afterall it's not like Zoro always fights swordmen or those that shows good Swordskills. Instead they barely are challenge for Zoro with their swords. Queen also carry 2 swords he might be same.

Though i dont think Zoro is fighting Queen. Maybe some clashes here n there.

Fighting Queen would be cool. Queen's personality is absolutely ridiculously tinged with a sadism and utter lack of concern for life. I think seeing him mess around with Zoro would be really entertaining as would Zoro beating him.

But, it wouldn't advance his character much. At least King has the added benefit of Zoro learning how to cut fire mid fight.

I think the fight would be cool, but Queen seems for to rely of technology

I also dont see him as a swordsman so I dont think it'll advance his character to get to WSS

I don't see what it will add to his character. Queen is just an obstacle, and honestly I feel like zoro only has two goals right now.
1. Cut the dragon... the strongest creature Kaid.
2. Become WSS.

3.... Cut Diamond?
I don't see Zoro getting excited or him having a development with regards to anything/anyone else he cuts..especially after Kaido.

The fights that made Zoro grows as a swordsman are the fight where he is push to high-extrem diff:

-Mihawk (he discovered the gap between him and his dream)
-Mr.1 (discover how to put Ryou on his sword)
-Kaku (Asura)

If Zoro fight Queen and Queen is not supposed to be a stepping stone in Zoro’s growth, he will mid-diff him. And a priori I do not see what challenge Queen can be for Zoro or what Zoro can gain from this fight as a swordsman. But who knows.

Now the more interesting question would be: how Oda see Zoro’s growth as a swordsman? Do Zoro have to fight other swordsmen or does he not?

Because I’m under the impression that for Oda, Zoro’s growth have 2 axes :

-Haki (the stronger and better the haki the more and tougher thing he can cut)
-The size of what he can cut (the stronger physically he becomes the bigger cut he can do)

And only one of this thing can be test against an other swordsman (Haki). Because I think that ultimately Zoro will be the first man to be able to cut a black blade.

He would not achieve many progresses for the simple fact he needs to fight against a legit super powerful swordsman or else a legit mega powerful enemy. He needs to train his swordsmanship if he hopes to reach Mihawk, power alone is not going to suffice and Zoro is very powerful now. Asura + advanced CoA haki attained with the Enma training (at least it's calculated speculation).
