1- The higher ups of Wano are aligned the same as that of the WG:
Emperor = IMU
5 Daimyo = 5 Gorosei
9 Scabbers = 9 Holy Knights
2- The Gorosei and IMU all seem to be based on Japanese Mythical creatures or Yokai
3- The World Nobles refer to themselves as Tenryubito, heavenly dragon folk. The one clan missing from Wano is Amatasuki which means heavenly moon. Toki ran into the future, potentially from her own clan.
On Onigashima there is also a heavenly cave and there used to be Dragon statues which were not based on Kaidou as they don’t have his Oni horns. Oda also calls Onigasha, Ryugashima in its concept art, which means Ryugashima may have been IMU’s home orginally.
4- Marijose is a closed off country in the same way as Wano since it sits ontop of the Red line
