His title is "Beast pirate informant" and he's I think the only person who is still introduced as "Captain of on air pirates"

Like neither Drake nor Hawkins were introduced as captains of their old pirate crews right? In fact only Drake later was introduced as a Captain in SWORD. But on first introduction they don't say Captain of anything.

Is Apoo being an informant mean he's like Doflamingo. He's an ally to the beast pirates but he maintains autonomy of his crew and shit. It makes sense. He can't be a good informant if he's very tied to the beast pirates.

He is like Drake with the WG with the difference that if things go south for the beast pirates I'm sure he will leave as soon as he can while Drake is a loyal navy officer. Also for sure other than working for Kaido he does other stuff on his own as well, pirate activities for his own benefit, and most likely he doesn't have a long story with Kaido unlike Drake with the navy.
