Powers & Abilities Is there's any proof that you have to be born with CoC?

Some people think that because what Boa Marigold said in chapter 517. But is she really a reliable source? To me it sounds like a rumor by an irrelevant character, and there have been shit-ton of rumors in the OP-verse spread around by people that were later proven to be false. She's a fodder compared to all the relevant characters and she doesn't really sound like someone who has deep knowledge about Haki or fighting in general. So why do we take her words for granted?

Also what Garp said shouldn't be taken literally as it could have meant something like "you're just like your father", not that Luffy was literally born with it. Exactly like what that Vice-Admiral also said when Luffy used it

When Rayleigh was explaining CoC to Luffy, he never mentioned that you have to be born with it, even though it's supposedly a pretty big detail

He only mentioned that the people who made names for themselves possess it, which could mean many things honestly. Maybe it starts to manifest by itself after the user consciously or unconsciously transforms himself and his spirit into a conqueror-like one, and the Conqueror's Haki would be the manifestation of said spirit, but no reason to think that you HAVE to be born with it even if some people like Big Mom or Ace managed to unlock it very early in life as they might have naturally possessed spirits compatible with CoC, like how Aisa was born with CoO because she naturally had it's spirit

Conquerors has to be a natural born thing because NO ONE in the series has ever just decided to to learn it and done so

There is no person so far who we have seen simply awaken CoC by choosing to develop it and then doing it… That’s why it’s a natural born ability… until for example jimbei just concentrates very hard and knocks people out, nope, it’s innate…

“Boa Marigold said it but is she a reliable source though?”

Ah yes, a character drawn by Oda doesn’t know what’s he talking about.
I think it's probably too much of an important leak to be to consider as a subjective only and wrong statement. Though we don't know for sure.

CoC is not an 'ability ' in the actual sense. It is the manifestation of a person's spirit/soul and therefore you have to be born with it.
A CoC user simply as a particularly strong spirit/will.

Ofc you get born with it?! Did you even read the manga lol?
It was mentioned multiple times in the story.
Even Garp himself said about Luffy: ''So you were born with it after all.''

The fact that the Boa Sisters gave us actual numbers about how rare CoC users are, proves that it is a reliable source. Oda wouldn't let characters spread lies without making sure it's a gag and everybody understands it. In the Boa sisters case it was clearly not a gag.

People questioning already explained things in OP...what's next?
''Is there proof that DF users can't swim, because of their DF's?''

Let's just completely ignore the fact that the same chapter where that fodder Marigold, who doesn't know what she's talking about, calls Luffy a Natural Born King, is titled.....

Wait for it....

Natural Born King....

The "let's ignore a statement from a character directly drawn by Oda who surely knows more about the topic than me" thread. Like ofc se is lying, every character in the OP can learn CoC if they decide so.

A CoC user simply as a particularly strong spirit/will.
And the Old good Ray also stated one cannot train CoC specifically, they must circumvent the process and train the rest of the stats and CoC will be empowered as a direct consequence.
