General & Others Is Zoro the vice-captain or close? Is he Lufy's right-hand man?

Too bad Zoro never led the strawhats in Luffy absence if I not mistaken. Had his chance in wano, but became a ronin and listened to Kinemon commands.
Unlike Sanji who actually was labeled by Nami as the captain of the curly hair pirates and led them to Zou..
Zoro is the first mate and labeled as the fighter of the crew.

He did complained regardless about it and tell him to wait before proceeding. That's not someone who obey authority, that's your headcannon overall on the matter as Sanji did it to protect Toko, not because he was order too over it.

Not really all characters have portrayal to be big especially Kidd, Law, and Sanji. Got more compare to the guy to be the next 'Rayleigh' yet get taken out by fox and nerf combo easily. I don't see why you guys got your insecurities Zoro is best or can do anything when he doesn't and have flaws. Just like running gag of being lost each time he tries to lead and need help. If Luffy gone, I don't see Zoro leading to somewhere with his poor direction. See more Sanji, Jimbei, Nami, or Usopp leading in the end.

That's not the point. For some reason, everybody must be a new gen parallel to somebody. "Rayleigh has a beard and blond hair, likes girls, and kicked Kizaru that one time," where's the symbolism? When Rayleigh thought back to meeting Roger, we see his start being fairly similar to Luffy's. Sanji, Law, and Kid lacking old gen parallels won't stop them from getting big.
Pretty much, eos luffy will be able to take on law and kid in the same time.
The parallel between rayleigh and zoro isn't in their personality nor their fighting abilities, it's just the relationship both had with their captain.
And I believe that zoro can be considered as the first mate and vc, he has leadership qualities, was the first to join luffy, is the 2nd strongest in the crew, is a good advisor and has all Luffy's trust.

Doesn't mean anything on Zoro being stronger than them when portrayal pushes them more on being. Sanji got Gabin or Bullet to push he is up there and Law and Kidd are Whitebeard or Shiki of generation which is shown more ways than one about it.
Coby is not the next Garp. I not those for that, but Smoker is indeed next Garp as they have more similarities about and can show up in Wano.
