Oda made the WG so vile that they feel proper final villain material. I legit can't see Teach doing anything worse than "Native cleansing festival".
While being the most evil does not mean final villain, in this case I feel the fall of the super evil 800 year old genocidal organization would be proper climatic ending of the series.

We are receiving a lot of information from the World Government, in addition, the World Government is showing all its cards with the awakening of Saturn and the poor performance of Kizaru against Luffy with a handicap.

Everything seems that Egghead is a saga of preparation for the final battle against WG&Marine (which will take place in Elbaf) in the same way that Punk Hazard was a saga of preparation for the fight against Doflamingo in Dressrosa.

Meanwhile, Shanks and Teach aren't even on the Straw Hats' radar, all the focus is on the WG.

Shanks purpose might be tied to his father.
BlackBeard is tied to Ace and Luffy, but Sabo inherited the fruit.

Imu is tied to the very begging of the story. The reason the One Piece even exists is due to Imu's existence and Joyboy's. He has to be the final villain, everyone else can only be lesser villains.

Maybe the Egghead incident will be the reveal to the world (trough Vegapunk technology) of what happened in God Valley. And this reveal will make the WG fall?

Luffy defeats Akainu, then Blackbeard and finally Imu. Fights against Akainu and Imu will be seperate.

Nah, it's just the arc that introduces the World Governments final players for the final war/saga.
The final war might be a war between the current Yonko for the One Piece, but all the Marines and World GOvernment players will intervene.
Imu will arrive in person same as the remaining Gorosei/God Knights. There is no reason in first resolving one conflict then another.
The final war between pirates does not make sense without Marine/World Government involvement.

Not likely for me. Roger's (and Oden's) flashback shows that the One Piece isn't the endgame. The Roger Pirates found it but couldn't "do nothing" (according to Roger, they arrived in Laugh Tale too early, but for what?). After Egghead, I think that Luffy will finally fight for the One Piece against Shanks, Buggy and Blackbeard (with Elbaf in between probably), not necessarily having to defeat everyone. Then, with the One Piece discovered, they will launch an all-out attack against the marines and the WG.

I concede that Blackbeard has a "final boss" attribute if he follows Xebec's dream, but I don't really think he'll make it. Whitebeard said that he wasn't the one Roger was waiting for, I believe it's a sign that he won't reach the One Piece.

But do you personally feel it is better for the final villain to be someone who has reigned the world for over 8 centuries or a guy who just came up ιn the limelight the last 2 years,and would be deemed the new tyranny to the world just now?

What do YOU feel? Now acknowledge who the writer is, and his fetish to subvert expectations with illogical plots solely because his writing is one-dimensional garbage.

I say this without a single bit of copium consumed, Imu will NOT be the final antagonist even if it's not Teach either.

Why would the navy and wg go to fight in elbaf? Nonsense

It doesn't matter what they did in the past, it only matters what they do in the present.

Luffy is not going to read a stone and say: "oh that's terrible, I'm going to avenge all those people from 800 years ago that I don't even know!"

Of course it matters, otherwise Rayleigh wouldn’t say that they have to come up with their own answer. They clearly have to do something about what they find out happened in the past.
Roger wouldn’t complain about being too early if the One Piece is irrelevant to taking down the WG. WB wouldn’t say that Blackbeard wasn’t “him,” and that someone would bear the burden of centuries to challenge the world.

None of this should be news to you.
