Character Discussion Jack the drag down; how do you feel about oda treatment of him

Oda treatment of the calamities as a whole have been horrible but I would like to talk about jack in this thread and why I think oda slaughtered his character.

- fake hype:
at first oda hyped him as the first one billion guy... he built the theme of. Beast pirates as those barbaric animals that will destroy everything in their way brutally... being MVPs and daring to attack fleet of veteran marines by themselves

what happened:
Turns out it was all fake hype... jack was literally a background character and loser that didn’t contribute shit to the raid... he have been a punching bag for everyone and their mothers... everyone gets to have a spit on him.
I literally forgot about him many times because that was irrelevant he is.

then we get Marco trashing and clowning king and queen YET jack gets STOMPED by the dukes... he looked like a loser with all injuries... they were cutting him left and right. Absolutely laughable

he also, like the other 2 calamities was so dumb that he forgot about his hybrid form.

he is supposed to have the best zoan recovery out of the 3 but turns out his recovery is worse then the samurai.

and now he been fighting dead mink that should have been murdere by kaido for half hour or something.

I'm just sorry for the way he was pited by Kaido and how ineffective his AP proved in the long run. Other than that lovely badass designs and decent plot.

I see no problem with most of Jack losts. I'm pretty sure he beats Inuarashi 1v1 since Inuarashi can't go Sulong or change with Nekomamushi to get some rest.

The only problem to me was Ashura Doji low diffing him. This could have been used to portray Ashura as the strongest Scabbards but then Oda kind of put all of them at same level when fighting Kaido.

Why should I cope? Jack has been the most efficent Calamity up to this point.

Jack went from soloing the whole mink tribe without using hybrid for days and days and cutting off their limbs to getting stomped by theme in mere minutes. If kaido didn’t save his ass he would probably be dead.

queen is fighting chopper seriously in his zoan form... him laughing doesn’t mean shit. I would agree though if he went to hybrid he should deal with him better.

There's a big difference between base minks and sulong minks, even Kaido acknowledged the Sulong Minks as strong.

I don't think Jack got a chance to go hybrid, the minks attacked him non-stop.

It looks like Base King's been fighting against Marco for at least 20 minutes while Chopper fights Queen(lol).

Mind you it was clear that it was practically a stale mate during jacks raid on zou because the minks forces were fighting separate on a day and night cycle without a moon to get them in sulong form. That wasn't the case here because not only both sides teamed up but had a moon backing them up as well. Dont forget that Jack had to resort to using ceasers gas weapons to incapacitate them.

jack have been fighting them for a WEEK NON STOP... minks were SLEEPING and TAKING REST and MEDICAL HELP.

jack NEVER went hybrid.

he only uses the weapons AT THE END after he start led getting tired which is crazy feat considering he was fighting for days.

"Defends the writing" WOW WHAT AN APOLOGIST! No, your arguments are just shallow and easy to pick apart bro. You straight up refuse to take into consideration of the guardians and musketeers teamed up this time and went sulong forms in the fight as well as the dukes who went toe to toe with him before.

It should have been a tough fight NOT A STOMP. All minks got to take their crap on him and cut him and injure even weak ones injured him when he NEVER was SCRATCHED by them before.

You see there's this thing call a SULONG form that minks get every full moon that POWERS THEM UP and it so happens they had it on the day of the raid. Take that into consideration as well as the fact both sides teamed up instead of taking turns like before and you can imagine why Jack may have a harder time now when facing 200+ of them. You can call it a stomp even if both sides didn't go unscathed either by the end of it and Jack still got up and ready for action, now that's what I call an all star.
If your gonna call people Oda Apologist for defending his work at least try not be a SPEE D. READER about it.
