Kakashi, Naruto and Sasuke

How do you feel that Kakashi completely forget about Naruto and trained only Sasuke?

I feel like Kakashi is a mid teacher but still better than Jiraiya who taught Naruto nothing but slightly bigger rasengans

In Jiraiya's defense, for as much as Naruto always insisted he was going to be the Hokage, he was a pretty dismal student. He always had an opinion about what his teachers should be teaching him, and it was pretty much never things like "actually accomplishing whatever the ninja mission is supposed to be."

The reason that Kakashi chose to focus on Sasuke instead of Naruto could be that aside from their personalities meshing better with one another, both Kakashi and Sasuke have the same elemental affinity (lightning, but anime only for Sasuke).

Probably the reason why Sasuke was able to learn the Chidori from Kakashi while Naruto had to get Jiraiya sensei to teach him techniques.

I believe it was mainly due to the fact Sasuke had sharingan and perfect candidate to pass down chidori

While jiraya helped naruto with rasengan

Later on yamato and kakashi helped with Rasenshuriken

The same way I felt when he said Chakra control allows you to master any tech. Then Sakura showed to be a genius, and he had her spend rest of the time walking around doing errands instead of giving her something else to train that she's not good at.

The guy just isn't that great of a teacher.

Sasuke was trained in the Chuunin exams because he was being targeted by Orochimaru & his next opponent was Gaara.

Rereading the first 20~ chapters, you see Kakashi doting on Naruto a lot in the beginning and end of chapters. We see him giving Naruto new foods to mix into his diet, etc.

He clearly preferred Naruto if anything, he just had no choice but to train Sasuke.

Well, Kakashi is a genius and an advanced level instructor. Naruto was a total zero in terms of skills and knowledge while being extremely immature at that time so he did not have a material that was workable. On the other hand, Sasuke was ready to learn advanced knowledge and techniques and reminded Kakashi of himself who he wanted to save from a dark path. Then again, playing favouritism at that time definitely affected Naruto :( though he came to understand why Kakashi did it and did not mind it any attention later in story.

Naruto needed to grow as a human being before being trained as a ninja. That was what Jiraiya’s training was all about. Sure, he was not the most mature person ever when he returned back from the timeskip but compared to Part 1?! There is way way too much difference.
