Would it not be more in character for Kanki to be overly formal? in a "obvious" lack of respect to Sei personally coming here? Rather than him effectively begging to get beheaded along with his lieutenants...

Kanki is kinda like Shin with how rude he is to even his
superiors, but it never seemed as if Kanki even once ever
outright disrespected his own "king" in such a savage manner...

But, god damn. He's gone ahead and forced Sei to now
wear a chastity belt with "Bandits 4 Lyfe" engraved on it

Ei Sei seems like a bitch ass king, gets no respect.
Kanki seems like a spoiled kid throwing a tantrum.

Kanki got lucky Yontawa wasn't nearby, her and Tou were ready to throw hands with Kanki and Ousen if they were to commit against the King's rules after their6GG appointment.

Tho technically they didn't kill innocent civilians and many of them seemed like they would have joined the other soldiers upon release, but doesn't change that many of them would have probabpy given up also.

Either Kanki or some of his folks gotta lose their heads at this point. Its not even about who's right or who's wrong. There is no room for Ei Sei to appear weak in front of his army. Some shit is gonna have to go down

And even if Ei Sei wanted the war.. Kanki's action is basically stupidly chaotic. Its so antagonistic that basically none of the other contries will ever lend an ear to Ei Sei ever again unless he subjugates all beyond any doubt.
