Powers & Abilities Luffy can turn Zunesha into rubber

If Gear 5 Luffy can turn Kaido's eyes into rubber, he can do the same for parts of Zunesha, right?

Imagine him using it to make part of it into a temporary cannon using clouds for ammo,

So you're saying he can turn Zunesha's trunk into a giant rubbery stick / tentacle of sorts? What purpose would that serve?

Why can't Zunesha as is get some water in its trunk, imbue with haki and shoot at enemies? Why does it never do something useful?

Luffy may be able to grab a part of Zunesha, like a part of her skin, form it into a cannon shape, turn the clouds around into rubber and use them as ammo for the cannon,
