Oda just made this guy a natural freak of nature similar to BM/Kaido (bigger monsters)

The man was at it peak (39 y.o) when he fought kaido, both were admiral level I bet, with Kaido being Upper and Oden just being average.
Oden at this point was/is not below Admirals (Except FA and Strongest marine ), he is above any VC/YC/warlord (except Rayleigh, Yonko and PK). The other characters who have VoAT + All 3 haki are all PK material.

I firmly believe he was Rayleigh opponent when WB fought Roger...
this explains why wb didn't lose or get caught by Navy after Rox Era (38 years ago) coz he had a powerful conqueror under him.
Xebec had WB and BM (and rookie Kaido)/
Roger had Rayleigh (and rookie shanks)
/ WB had Oden (then Ace)/
BM has Katakuri/
Kong had Sengoku & Garp (who might be CoC user too),...
... this is why WB left 2nd commander spot empty because he never had another PK material underlying since Oden! That's why he was so eager to make Ace PK coz he saw Ace will surpass Oden and even Roger .

Luffy = Garp + Roger.
Luffy has Garps Blood and Rogers will flowing through his veins. He is a combination of Garp and Roger, the combo that beat the Rocks crew 2 v 4 style.

So he will solo Blackbeard, his solo Yonko fight.

By the way, I'm at a point where I might say something outrageous for some guys. But with the way Oda is hyping Oden from his youth, he is TRULY building him to be as monstrous as Kaido and Big Mom from childhood, a freak of nature. And I daresay that 20 years ago, Kaido was NOT in his prime, while Oden was at his Prime. So, I have a feeling that Orochi screwed over oden vs kaido fight in some way, and I have a feeling that Kaido won in an "unfair" manner. Sure, some will hate what I say, cause they never want a Yonko to look that way, BUT it's been hinted so many times that oden was screwed over during his major duel. Not to mention that Oda wanks Roger's crew more than the Yonko LOL. So, it doesn't matter who we fans wank, what matters is what oda wanks more haha.

Anyway, I can't wait to see what Oden has up his sleeves. In many panels he looks exactly like Takamura from Ippo. If that's what oda's intention was from beginning, that let's hope Toei Animation takes the same voice actor, and change the voice actor who appeared during Zou arc when Momo was remembering his father's words. That voice does NOT suit his appearance at all. it's exactly like when Pica speaks and you hear a high pitched voice LOL

It's been hinted that he was involved in a fight with oden. Cause he himself Orochi claimed that.
Then the schools of children are being taught that Orochi is using two sword style (Oden style) which is a lie.

Yasui claimed that Orochi screwed Oden from the back, and betrayed him even though he owed him a lot.

If anything, this all points to the idea that Oden's final moments were him getting screwed over.

Hell, even when Kinemon was telling the story of Oden to SHs, Luffy was like "that's too dirty"

When Luffy says that, it's usually a guy getting screwed over in a fight. Luffy is that type of man.

Again, nothing confirmed, but hints? yes there are hints. Whether you wanna believe it or not, whether it turned out to be true or not. There are hints about this.

Anyway, we will wait and see how it turns out. Sure, Kaido isn't the type resort to such tactics, but I believe he is not a person who would prevent it as well like Katakuri.
