Luffy ain't gonna be an Under dog anymore lol.
That's the whole point of him being a yonko. And his promise to shanks.
If Oda tries to make him an underdog now, it'll seem really forced.
He can have his back against the wall in fights against BB where he gets his DF powers taken, or Shanks could overwhelm him with haki etc. But all that should be for very short time. He should be able to hold his own and fight evenly with anyone in the world.
He's now at the top of the pirate world. People underestimating him and getting wrecked for it wont be as cool anymore. It'll just make the opponent seem really really stupid.

No he shouldn't because there is no reason to. But you want him to lose because his non rivals were defeated (one of his non rival was even utterly humiliated like it was his first day in the New World).

We came off an arc of Luffy defeats. Don’t really need another one.
He’s just been made a Yonko (officially) and should have a good length of time being treated as one. That means actually winning, unlike Kid and Law. Luffy doesn’t need to be defeated again until he runs into Blackbeard again or something.
He is an Emperor of the Sea, his Strongest Attack overpowered Kaido's strongest one (and we're talking about the World Strongest living in their world, not just a strong opponent), he's the new Joy Boy, he has an awakened mythical zoan fruit: why does he have to appear as a underdog? Cause we are used to this portrait since the Grand line, where he was a young promising captain?
