Powers & Abilities Luffy's G5 vs Kaidou and future enemies: Can the tension still be saved?

A member (forget his username, sorry) gave an idea about the possibility of G5's ability, and i think about this.

- Is it possible that Gear 5 allows Luffy to fight however he wants, including creating changes to his style of fighting according to his emotions?

- Since he'a currently feeling funny and adventurous to explore his ability, his fighting style becomes hilarious with the style of Looney Tunes

- but what if Luffy emphasize his memory and feelings about Kaidou enslaving entire Wano until their death?

- How if Luffy focus on that feeling, and make a Gear 5 mode which represents his wrath? With some devastating ability that targets and destroys the space itself at will?






Bringing back the emotional weight of story and convey Luffy's emotion? What do you think? Can Oda manage this? Will Oda do it?

Maybe Blackbeard's awakening itself can strip Luffy off of his DF's abilities as well as his awakening, without the need to physically touching him, forcing him to fight with his own physical strength as well as haki. :pepebusi:

I hope Oda can at least think about some savage form and ability to lift the emotion...

The first pic is final fantasy 13 final boss refered to as The God of Light (thats also why i hope for Luffy to have a badass form like that god of light reference) and the the second pic i just googled for fantasy symbols lol

Yep. And forgive me for answering the title so directly, but we're on the way towards this reality as we speak.

The tension can be saved if/because even Gear 5th Luffy will lose to Kaido.

On the contrary, Gear 5th seems to control his emotions. "Even though i lost, I'm having fun for some reason, ha ha ha."-(ch1044 p2 viz). It might become an extension of the smile fruit plot line. And might be a way to add more emotional weight to the story.

And though it certainly allows him to be more creative, implying that he can do literally anything seems pretty wrong. Just about everything Gear 5th's done so far can be considered an extension of the Rubber fruit. So I don't think that Gear 5th actually allows him to do anything. I think that's hyperbole.

Final Fantasy? Well, now that's definitely a big no-no for Oda. If we're lucky, maybe Im will have that kind of form, but not Luffy. :brootea:

On the contrary, I think it allows for more contrast for the heavier serious and emotional moments. Depending on how dominant this feeling G5 gives Luffy even after this first use

Luffy fights like this because kaido is a gag character...
Haven't you seen the faces he makes and the circus personality he has?

When he fights with serious and cold characters, nika's curls will stop
