By sheer laws of God and Man i have to go with mashed potato. It is way more versatile and can accompany larger selection of food. It is healthier and be mixed better with peas or carrot!
french fries are way more accessible and faster to cook (or buy) so I don't blame ya. Mashed Potatoes can be pretty good though if you take the time to cook and season well

Yeah but I only like fried fries not in the oven though they just taste off. I’m from the south so I eat mashed potatoes a lot. I think I’ve just gotten sick of them over the years lol.
I was just exaggerated about french fries being better than every single street food. But yeah, french fries > mashed potatoes for me. I tasted potatoes before and it's alright but it's not as good and affordable like french fries imo.
