Jew D. Boy

I Can Go Lower
It's never been about Luffy accepting or rejecting anyone. It's about the character natural development. I think if Yamato ends up finding freedom somewhere else (beside Momo, helping restore Wano, whatever) is as valid as trying to search freedom within the crew. If she just wants to be on the crew from the moment she is introduced, it's hard to believe there's been much development there. On the contrary, learning what true freedom means on a psychological level is much more satisfying than believing she has to put geographic distance between her and her father or act just like Oden to be free. Freedom is not about miles, it's about a position in life.
You’re saying this while staunchly defending a character with less development than most tertiary figures in any given arc and absolutely zero discernible substance or narrative importance besides the fact, so forgive me if I discount what you’re saying straight out of hand…or don’t! It’s a free country for a few more weeks! :hapnoel:

Where do you live? Nothing is free where I’m from 🤣

I'm saying this. Period. The rest is irrelevant, unless you can't reply my argument, of course.

On the contrary, learning what true freedom means on a psychological level is much more satisfying than believing she has to put geographic distance between her and her father or act just like Oden to be free. Freedom is not about miles, it's about a position in life. She could still be imprisoned in the Sunny or she could be as free as ever in Wano. It's up to her.
"She could still be imprisoned in the Sunny or she could be as free as ever in Wano. It's up to her" This is problematic. First Yamato's explicit desire (not dream) is to leave Wano once-and-for-all. It was supposed to be with the Spade pirates, but we know why thats not the case. The only person she can leave with is Ace's brother Luffy. Second, the sea (at least in One Piece) is the ultimate vestige for freedom. According to Foucault, the boat on the seas is not bound by human law but by the nature of the ocean currents and weather you name it. Unless someone is literally imprisoned on a ship, the boat is the ultimate vessel of freedom on the ocean.

Irrelevant, she can become one later.
how much later? because Wano is almost over, removing the need of the minks
Which was a depiction also of her own personnality. In short a BIG characterization moment. So this was something of note.
A note of showcasing the Sulong form, not showing her worth as a straw hat
Which is something that plays in favor of Carrot, not in defavor. A protagonist should always be learning things.
Glad you brought up the fact that she needs to learn more, because since Predro mentioned it, Carrot has made no strides to learn anymore about the dawn, and with Wano coming to a close the Mink will have completed their roles with the Kouzuki but if it isnt complete because of Momo not opening the borders yet and they still have a duty to the Kouzuki, then thats more of a reason for Carrot to stay in Wano or Zou the help Wano
the needs of her people is more important than her desire to go out to sea, a theme that Oda has shown in the series a number of times, being Vivi in Alabasta and the Shandorians in Skypeia
Wrong. She stayed with the strawhat even after being assigned a mission during Wano. She also stayed most of the time with the strawhat on the trip to Onigashima.
And Neko is not a side character.
the main character is Luffy, main cast is the straw hats as a whole, arc characters are secondary/SIDE CHARCTERS
And no, Carrot got into Wano with Luffy's group and after they regrouped with Kinemon she went to join Inu at the Mountain to meet Ashura Doji, untill the Raid started where she came to show her gratitude that Jinbei (Someone who esssentially sacrificed himself for them to escape) is still alive
After which she abandoned the entire Raid to attack a third party who wanted to assult Kaido, and in all of these instances she was not present for any real moments or important exposition
Logically, she was beaten up. So that remark is irrelevant.
there are multiple characters who have been taken out by worse and comple back multiple times Carrot didnt even get up from the ground until Neko showed up and pushed him all the way back to the entrance, so no not irrelevant, Carrot had no purpose in this arc and will have no purpose going forward since the Minks have duties to the Kouzuki and will remain in or near Wano
Which is more than enough to climb onto the ship again. So that's not a bad thing as Yamato is exactly the same.
No its not and Yamato has had more meaningful interactions with Luffy... the Captain
You forget that Carrot already had that trust. So that comparison is IRRELEVANT.
i wasnt making a comparison, the biggest reason that Luffy didnt want Yamato's help is because she was Kaido's daughter and didnt trust her
But if you wanna make the comparison, ok

Both Yamato and Carrot now have Luffy's trust and he has no reason to tell either one of them no you cant join the crew
So the only thing either of them needs is to either ask or be asked to join, which we've already seen Yamato do and will do again under the wish to live free like Oden and leave wano, with Luffy

meanwhile Carrot has only said she wants to go out to sea with no mention of wanting to join the Straw Hats, and while we're on the topic of the people they admire, Carrot would be likely to form a new Nox Pirates with Wanda and adventure there, no need or mention of wanting to go out with the straw hats specifically, a poin that you have tried to use against Yamato on multiple occasions saying he'll take over the beast pirates (which no, she hates her father and his crew) or go out with Momo, which makes no sense because she only feels responsible for him due to her father being an invader of Wano, once he is gone Yamato has no responsibility to the country what so ever except that they'll be friends
Good feat, but it doesn't help in her race for the strawhat flag.
participation in the arc that serves to help further or keep the arc from ending until Luffy came back and was ready to fight, while Carrot's entire contribution was neither, her fight with Pero Spero was meaningless to the overall succes or failure of the arc and the central plot
An army of Samurai is not enough. You need strong commanders and the actual scabbard will most probably become Daymos.
regarless they are still Warriors of the country who command their own people, and this system was more than enough to keep the country safe for hundreds of years that even the World Government didnt want to go near them, the wild Card was Kaido, and there is slim chance that another Kaido will take over the country again
And that's wrong. All the strawhats have interacted with the crew before they joined.
youre right they have, its not like theres not a huge party thats about to take place where Yamato will have everyone to meet up with, that'd just be crazy
And i mean she did interact with Franky for a minute, but i guess there are no other straw hats that only met a fraction of the crew for a hot sec and never talked to them again until they joined

You are a fucking moron
That's because the first part of her voyage is supposed to test her. The point of the first part of a character arc is to show the character that they have NO PLACE in the story. That's what Whole cake and Wano are for Carrot. But a good protagonist must always rise up to the challenge, and that what will happen with Carrot when she accept the danger of the seas as part of the adventure and reembark on the Sunny a second time.
how do you keep flip flopping from Carrot is important to she has character arcs that so pivitol, and there is no acceptance of the dangers of the sea, she a mink theyre conditioned to be warriors from birth, there are just people who are stronger than her, nothing more nothing less, if she was so afraid or needed to accept anything before fighting again she wouldnt be fighting in this War... oh wait she didnt

I think the problem is always the same as everyone here:

You are confusing Joining the crew and... being recruted.

Carrot will join the crew but her story is NOT finished. Her real challenge and therefore her real characterization moment will come LATER, after wano. And only THEN will she be recruted. Not before.

here, we are just waiting for Carrot to join the crew, to have enough will to embark again. To sneak on the Sunny a second time. Because of a single little reason:

Carrot's love for adventure won't disappear with Wano.
im not confusing anything i know Luffy wont recruit her, and she wont join because she has a duty to the Minks and the Kouzuki, and yes her love for adventure wont disappear in wano, she'll join the newly formed Nox pirates

You've been saying her arc will come for a long time now, with nothing to back it except your labyrinthine "analysis" that only you seem to understand
at this point youre telling people to wait for the pay-off of a character who has been building toward nothing
Everytime you have a theory based on your analysis that ends up being wrong you backtrack and say it was just a hypothosis and it doesnt matter

You said Carrot would see Luffy in Gear 5 and be reminded of Pedro, despite her not doing anything to know what the DAWN was or know that Joyboy had anything to do with it in the first place

then when she didnt even show up in the chapter you say it was just a hypothosis and that it only lowers her chances a little

You are a clown, from here on out until the crew leaves Wano and you are publicly shamed for you idiotic "Green Cape" theories and you delete your account like you said you would whether she joins or not, just to use a burner to avoid your humiliation

you are effectively IGNORED LOL

You would be surprised the amount of people youtube community who believe that

Can we not? Ls will be given but let's not be toxic. And it's really just 2 Carrot fans who have been obnoxious. I don't want to see anyone harrassing people like Shift or Davidsux.

LOL BESIDES IT'LL ONLY BE ONE
