General & Others Oda just doesn't care anymore

#1
It is very clear that the early arcs Oda wrote for One Piece were very well thought out and had logic and passion behind them.
They are very different from what we see now in One Piece, even though they are written by the same author.
I think what is happening here are two things:
1. Firstly, Oda had to stretch out his story and subsequently increased the power levels to utterly ridiculous levels, which led to him not being able to write the ending he might have had in mind 25 years ago (that is, if he even had thought of an ending yet, which I don't believe to be the case.)

2. Secondly, Oda has actually given up on writing good arcs, because he doesn't care anymore. It is very clear that Oda is just ignoring his character's motivations and backstories, which have been established decades ago, and is just making them do stuff that doesn't make sense from their own perspective.

Conclusion: Oda doesn't care anymore and just makes up stuff as he goes, actively destroying his own creation in the process.

What do you guys think?

The story has been bloated with too much fluff and arcs get dragged on more than needed.

But he's not destroying his creation in the process. The Onigashima part of Wano was just too bad compared to other arcs.

Hell, Enies Lobby has as many asspull power ups as Wano. If not even more than that. And I doubt the Marry moment at the end, when the ship arrives by itself, would've been appreciated today reading weekly.

If you dislike it, stop reading. I don't think you have enough literary accomplishments for us to take your criticism seriously. I am busy in real life and I read the chapter and I don't give a fuck whether there is a backstory or not, whether he stretche's out the story or not, etc. I give time for him to tell his story instead of barking every week like a loser.

One piece has lost the charm it once had and I'm tired of blindfolded fans not admitting that, pre ts was pretty solid, now it's just a mess with good parts here and there

Another day, another bloke trying to find his own identity by saying random stuff without any basis.
Criticism on Onigaishima/Wano is fair enough but this thread you made has no purpose other than you just trying to become a keyboard warrior.

I am also tired of 'blindfolded' rants.

One Piece is dying… But rn it’s at it’s final peaking moments
What a irony...

but I Guess in this point Oda doesnt know how to end one piece, I even doubted he know what one piece really is

So called 'critics' pretending that they are not casual is the actual irony.
If you think one piece is okay, then how you can explain this..? :milaugh:

Naruto and Bleach had these problems too near the end, the issue is the World of One Piece and its history and mysteries are just as big a part of the Story as Luffy becoming Pirate King, or Zoro becoming the World's greatest Swordsmen.

The real world issue is not enough planning and structure and pacing problems, but that started around Punk Hazard and Dressrosa.

did one piece finish? no. Some of the questions/plot threads can still be answered like opening the borders of wano, the importance of Momo, etc.
Some of them are just trash-talking for the sake of trash-talking. For example, the claim of the jailer telling 'super secret' information when in reality jailer just talking about an old legend. It is not the first time people talk about legends.

PLEASE ODA TELL US ABOUT THE DAMN KOLESHI DOLLSSSSSSSSSSSS AAAARRRGGGHHH!

- said no ome ever. Half of these are just nitpicking for complaints. Some are justified but can still be answered.

Not NEWS :jordanmf:
I already accepted that one piece won't be a series that will be nostalgic to me. or I would go watch clips of it on youtube like say for naruto(except for the Crocus clip). All characters are just dogshit to me to even care about. Take Legends in other series, feel like legends and they deliver stuff with their presence in the series, here they just seem like Frauds because of how they are used(or not used) :kobeha:.

They are valid because people have noticed and been set up as important. Remember this series tends to offscreen important stuff too so people expect at least whatever is shown is at least important enough...not the case..I mean what happened to Law vs BB...well that was expected though :ohreally:.
Worst thing is SBS, like how he added Kids backstory in SBS because someone asked. A good author would incorporate something like that so that characters have at least some depth. I know oda is not that talented of an author, but if he actually cared...his editors would be doing better job and he would be listening too(pretty much all which I thought were good stuff came from Editors' input/idea only...even the addition of Senor Pinks story to the manga).
