If Fujitora had made his move in Dressrosa, Luffy would have been a goner, but he decided to wait and test Luffy's luck.

If Smoker and Tashigi had been more ruthless, they could have captured the strawhats in Alabasta.

If Garp and Aokiji had done their fucking jobs, they could have captured the strawhats in Water 7.

Without Kuma coming in, the strawhats would have been killed or captured by Kizaru and Co.

What CP0 is planning, makes the most obvious fucking sense ever, and is even foreshadowed as they egg on Kaido and the strawhats to weaken each other as much as possible.
