Based on what did I judge it too quick? It is about King's defeat or the part that everything was rushed into a single chapter?
Exactly, King was amazing and it started great until Oda decided to put everything important about him in a single chapter and ending it like that. You may be satisfied with it but I'm not.
Again, it's about the rushed part, everything before that was 10/10 easily.
We have to see the chapter first to decide whether it is rushed or not...
His abilities were spread across multiple chapters, there is nothing left to show except his defeat.
And a whole chapter for face reveal, meeting Kaido and explanation of Lunarian ability is plenty.

COC is one of the most important powers lore wise, King lacking even the basic COC stuff isn't really powerlevels relevant but it's relevant for his character imo. There's definitely a difference if people see Kaido's powerful right hand man having COC, thus kingly ambitions, or possibly awakening (tbh, COC is more important than that) or not.

Zoro usually finishes his battles with one slash, that's not my issue. In fact, Zoro's attack really seems really hyped. Yet again, everything else was rushed which got to this point.
Assuming that Zoro was going to defeat King like that, the impact would be better if Zoro already faced someone with COC too - in his strongest mode, even stronger than the stuff which was shown prior to this chapter. Do you really believe it wouldn't make a single difference how people would view this moment?

Why making another Mr. 1 moment if it could have been even better? Unlike Daz Bones, King had the potential to make it possible...
The people who got CoC ended up being called Kings. The people who got Lunarian flame ended up being called Gods...
CoC is a downgrade compared to King's ability. CoC is a simple buff, it cant make one tougher than Kaido...
That's why, a guy with such a broken ability is the only living example left in the world... CoC was never be all end all...

Zoro faced Kaido who had CoC and in his strongest mode... It makes no difference... King's physicals are simply off the charts that CoC is not needed. I know that people are drawn towards the latest shiny power but it really isnt anywhere close to as good as people make it out to be...
King wasnt another Mr1... Zoro was trashing Mr1 from the start, clearly outperforming him in all stats while with King they were trading blows with stats going in favor of one or the other side... CoC would just add hype to King, it wouldnt change his combat performance.

True, his lore relevance will be expanded further but what's about his backstory? According to the spoilers, it is a short flashback about him and Kaido, prior to that, his mask got destroyed too. Zoan Awakening would perfectly fit Kaido's RHM, what are you talking about? Awakening became important the moment Doflamingo revealed such a power with great performance. Kaido's crew theme is literally about Zoan users - an opportunity to perfectly demonstrate at least 2 awakened users.

Awakening still playing a role? Perhaps with Kaido but how it is guaranteed King will use it next? The spoilers highly imply that he's defeated - and from the looks of the latest spoilers, I doubt King gets up again. If you're talking about the lame abilities from the jailer beasts, then yes, King could already be awakened but come on, no highlight and no decent portrayal of such an ability - are you really fine with it?
His backstory, aside from what we got this chapter, is either not important to be shown or will be shown later, either in Kaido's flashback or when Lunarian lore expands further which might be a reason why Oda doesnt want to show it now.
I was never impressed by Awakening, helped Doffy stall but aside from that, nothing special. Katakuri's pretty much the same and considering the potential, not used well enough...

King's awakening doesnt change anything, it buffs up his stats further while they are already ridiculously high aka isnt changing anything. Pretty much the same reason why I didnt want CoC on Zoro, I see no point in boosting already ridiculous stats but oh well...
We will see, King's awakening is still possible or he was awakened the whole time already... There is no way to tell.

If Awakening is a stat boost it already was in effect. Later it can occur only if Kaido somehow forces his executives to Awaken through a dragon roar or something which would reinforce his epithet of King of beasts... Yes, he seems defeated and Zoan thing is to stand back up soon after... Even Ulti was back up on her feet after Masser Cannon... They arent lame, they are what Awakening does:
String producer produces more strings, Mochi producer produces more mochi, DFs which boost stats boost them even more... I might be wrong if it ends up a separate form entirely which I am not betting on.

Bro, none of that are destructive fire attacks lol. I know that King is physically a freaking beast - he doesn't have to demonstrate better stuff than that, it's clear. However, when it comes to his fire attacks, that's the part in which his other Zoan abilities rather dwarf his own fire skills. King got consistently hyped as a powerful Lunarian who "is a monster who survives on any environment" with his race exclusive abilities. At the end, we learn what his ability is about but honestly, I immediately had the thought: "Okay, that's it?".
I expected attacks which rather fit his epithet "wildfire" tbh.
All Calamity nicknames are rather misleading... Should have never expected amazing fire abilities, that's reserved for Mera users.
Lunarian toughness is the reason why they are able to survive any environment and his toughness has delivered. Having better durability than Kaido isnt really a "that's it?" reaction, lol.

The flashback shows that they were experimented on by WG and how both were about to form their crew but that's it. No aftermath how they sail together building their own crew or any other crucial moment like that. After this chapter, COC would be even more fitting for King, hell, Kaido and he were the ones who formed the Beast Pirates, both were experiments, King is the sole survivor (currently) of one of the rarest races in the OP world and this guy does not have COC.
King's cold reaction was rather a hint how he is a conqueror too, now that he does not have it makes his reactions less justifiable tho. And it would have been a fresh start if Zoro already fought a conqueror by activating his superior version too.
Sure, it is odd that he doesnt have CoC considering all the hints but, as I said, not a deal-breaker for me. People will ride the CoC hype as long as non-Conqueror slaps the shit out of a Conqueror and I hoped Zoro would be that guy but now that he has it my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined...
Well, that flashback which you desire can still be seen through Kaido's flashback so wait and see.

Already explained above, let alone that it's an ability which trades durability for speed. King also consistently demonstrated that he attacks with fire too, yet that's apparently the only thing which he's able to do - fire attacks significantly weaker than his physical ones.
About the complaining part, again, it's the fact how everything around King got handled in a single chapter. That's the main issue.
Actually, I am glad that his fire abilities ended up being the way they are because if they ended up the way you imagined them, imagine how useless they would be against a guy with a Flamerend style... Hell, put a Mera user against Zoro and you will understand that such humiliation is not something you want for King, lol. I dont see why it bothers y'all that he trades durability for speed considering that he is ridiculously durable even when he does that... The dude is a perfect killing machine, almost as perfect as Zoro.

Don't let me start on Queen's epithet, aside from his viruses, we didn't see any of that when he fought Sanji which makes it even worse. And Jack? Please don't remind me about him...
Again, King is a fantastic character but a lot of potential got just wasted in this chapter to which you respond "Well, I don't care for any of that either". The thing is, you may not care about it but a lot of users do care about. And Zoro could have been shown even more dangerous if he one shots Kaido's awakened RHM and also being a conqueror.
I dont think his fire abilities were wasted, they were fine ammunition that kept Zoro in check during the aerial phase. I agree that they could have been used a bit more, especially in the combination with base wings, which ended up doing nothing but oh well. If he was a copy of Mera user, that would have been worse. Well Zoro will be shown plenty dangerous when he kills Kaido(CoC user) who is probably awakened and called the toughest in the world despite King towering above him in toughness...
I bet Shiryu and Kizaru wont have CoC either and will still be monsters in their own right. CoC is not a problem for Zoro, nasty combat style usually is, or ridiculous toughness like in King's case. A plox, dont reply with an even bigger wall of text. :crazwhat:

Ngl I agree with sentinel,Zoro vs King got absolutely rushed this chapter.
King's powers also start looking lackluster.
Hopefully full summary makes the chapter better.
They are not lackluster lol. He took 0 damage in speed-focused mode. He makes Kaido's toughness look bad...
Zoro's opponents have to eventually fall down and they do it from one slash. Zoro is not Luffy.
He wont spend 11 hours pummeling on the opponent hoping that they fall down out of boredom.

Due technology for warfare I feel.

Such weapons for wars to conquer the world are impressive.

Like I feel Queen would have been more awesome if Oda decided to use him as strategy mastermind for wars.
Queen's a brawler who uses his weapons of mass destruction to boost himself

It's already good enough

The only disappointment is queen not using more of his plagues

ConquistadoR

The Rogue Prince
Cant believe Orochi lasted more than 2 commanders. Maybe orochi losing will be witnessed in public.
Orochi is one of the main enemies of this arc alongside Kaido and to an extent Big Mom.

His death at the hands of either Hiyori or Momonosuke is an important narrative beat. It was obvious that he'd die at the hands of either of the Kozuki siblings near the end of the war through the Ame no Habakiri, the sword which slayed the actual Yamata no Orochi in the myth.

I feel like queen should have had another plague gun or something similar to infect sanji and maybe we could get some more fighting in that area
He should've used the ice oni virus on himself and on sanji

Sanji would've had to overcome the effect with his own passion/fire

It was just perfect for both characters, specially when Oda canonicaly just established that sanji's heart is literally speaking a heart of fire contrary to the hearts of the Vinsmokes

A bit disappointment regarding the fights....Queen vs Sanji ended with either of them not using haki...now Zoro vs King with King not using haki (?) (only panels will clear).....I was expecting to have adCoA atleast but his gimmick comes from his race...

Katakuri has FS gimmick from haki
Marco has regen gimmick from devil fruit
King got his gimmick from his race
Beckman (?)
Shiryu (?)
