Post time skip Zoro was always stornger than luffy.
He did more to kaido than luffy ever did till 1010. Whereas luffy had more arc development and Skillset yet Zoro outclassed everyone on rooftop. Not forget Zoro was nerfed for using Ashura or he might have easily KO-ed kaido for a while.
Why can't King burn Mochi? Because you can't come up with a counterargument for it? Akainu can't hurt Kuri now because his COA withstood Red Hawk? The notion that fire can't burn things coated in CoA is ridiculous, to say the least. At best, it offers some resistance and it heavily depends on the level of armament. Katakuri doesn't have strong enough CoA to resist magma-like attacks that are potent enough to affect even Marco's flame. Don't invent non-existing logic to support such irrational wank.
King having worse CoA than Luffy's is a completely groundless argument. Even if King doesn't have CoO that good. He's got speed and flight to not get caught easily. Even if he's caught, he can escape it like nothing with his fire-based attacks. Kuri can't even contain base WCI Luffy, he's not restraining King, period.
Thunder Bagua is Kaido's signature move, not his strongest, and base Kaido KO'ed Luffy. Luffy has a normal rubber body. Anyone can hurt Luffy. That doesn't make Katakuri any special. Once again, WCI Luffy is nowhere near Wano Luffy. Hell, Luffy grew several times during Kaido's fight itself forgetting about an entire arc.

He also reacted to Apoo almost at the same time as Luffy. FS barely made Luffy look better than Zoro even when they're fighting side by side. Zoro's not lacking in this department. Besides, this is about King and Katakuri. It's funny how you demand that anyone that fights Kuri must have FS while you have little to no argument against King's Lunarian defense and Zoan recovery.
