It would seem odd for the man who fought Akainu on the basis of his ideals to actually support someone like Blackbeard. He clearly has ulterior motives and he won't go around announcing said motives, similar to Kuma. But this chapter has solidified Laffitte and Shiryu as the top 2 in my books personally. There is no chance Oda is giving Nami a guy who threatens an Admiral in his presence. Besides the fact she only ever fights females, the other option is Brook who is definitely not fighting Blackbeards Chief of Staff.

Law did about what most would've expected of him given his performance in Wano. Not Yonko tier but can give them a good fight. Kids portrayal only makes sense if Shanks significantly stronger then every Yonko. Basically Shanks should be able mid diff Kaido and low diff Big Mom.
Problem is, if that's the case then emperors are not a balanced force. Its makes no sense for their reign to have lasted this long if Shanks could've easily dealt with them.
