Ripely is also superior as a key antagonist to Samus, than Ganondorf is to Link/Zelda
Ganon suffers from the Bowser syndrome where he gets beat every new title, whereas Ripley at least isn’t consistently the main baddie.
Ganon isn't always the final boss either.
Adventure of Link: Dark Link.
Link's Awakening: Nightmare Dreams.
Majora's Mask: Majora
Oracle of Seasons: Onox.
Oracle of Ages: Veran.
Four Swords: Vaati.
Minish Cap: Vaati.
Phantom Hourglass: Bellum.
Spirit Tracks: Malladus.
Skyward Sword: Demise
A Link Between Worlds: Yuganon (it's Ganon + another person fused).
Triforce Heroes: Some goofy final villain, Idk.
Now in the games where just Ganon appears:
LoZ.
A Link to the Past.
Ocarina of Time.
OoA/OoS: Only if you finished both games.
Wind Waker.
Four Swords Adventure.
Twilight Princess.
Breath of the Wild.
Tears of the Kingdom.
There are actually more Zelda titles without Ganon as the final boss than with him.
Ganondorf, the actual human version of Ganon, only appeared in 4 Zelda games so far: Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Tears of the Kingdom. And the gap between TotK and TP is more than a decade.
Plus, there is also great lore around Ganondorf why he often appears. Heck, he also often got killed by Link but due to Demise' hatred, Ganon keeps reincarnating. It's a never ending circle in the series, which is intended to be. He isn't like Bowser at all.
