I don’t think colon has any thorns right now cause he wasn’t in the walrus school like the others. But basically:
Sommers covers the kids with invisible thorns, people who try and touch the kids get stabbed by thorns. The harder you hold the kids the deeper the thorns dig into you which is where the love thing comes in.
