End of oden is exact 20 years ago.
That makes it 26 years.
And 13 years ago is, 39 years ago. Same time as god valley.
Given how luffy and co advancing. I think a year is enough to cover the grandline.
So is it still hard to assume Roger started that journey after wards?

I feel like people forget how exhausted Luffy was in G5 when he fought Kaido. He himself explicitly says that dying exhausted him, and Momo described his VOAT as very weak.
A lot of people treat G5 as far below Kaido because "he had help". But by the time Luffy in G5 fought Kaido and finally reached his level, it was a 1v1.
A lot of this also is probably a result of the Egghead upset I think. Hard for people to see Kizaru as Kaido/Luffy level so they rationalise it as Kaido >>Luffy>= Kizaru ig.
