I think there's one more better scenario if let's say Mihawk joins BB crew, i wouldn't be surprised if he tries recruiting strong Schibukai and if Mihawk joiins. Luffy can beat BB and Zoro Mihawk. Bt this also has a issue, why would Mihawk join BB. Oda will have to think of something good.

Not really if they allied at equal footing instead of mihawk joining Shanks crew.

Btw just my thoughts, i think they either sent out the new Vegapunk's invention after the Warlords OR it's just a move to ""scare them away"" first off this thing Vegapunk created is to replace the Warlord so it's supposed to be a weapon or whatever that give the Navy a military power compared to the actual 7 warlords (or even stronger/more effective i mean it's not like during Marineford the Warlords were very useful xD) so they might want to test it on the actual Warlords to see the effectiveness.
So i think they sent Fodders + Vegapunk's thing just for testing purposes maybe cuz let's be honest:

Mihawk a dude that can clash with a Yonko (for what we know he might be at worst not thaat far from Shanks at best kinda equal to Shanks (depending if you are a Mihawk or Shanks wanker ofc))
Weevil a guy compared to Young WB in terms of strength
Hancock she might not be as strong as Mihawk/Weevil bust still she can kick a VA ass without problems and her DF can take down 99% of the marines exlucing some VA ad admirals....

I mean you don't send just some fodders after guys like this and you don't send out all the 3 Admirals when there is a Yonko alliance going on so i think they sent out Vegapunk's thing for "testing purposes" or they just want to send them a message like you're not welcome anymore
