I have a conspiracy theory that has a 50% likelihood of being true: Since Redon is the mafia don of the leaker cabal and people will only post what he's OK'd, he is ordering guys like Scotch to spread chaos by implying Yamato doesn't join so he can save the screencaps of all of us rejoicing to laugh at later.

There are fake leakers/ real leakers that went out of their way to confirm Carrot won't join the crew. This is literally almost 3 weeks before chapter 1058 with multiple breaks... Nobody went out their way to say yamato won't join when there was hype she would. It feel like people a hoping Carrot loses no matter what.
