Sanji is out there getting extended backstories, power up, character development and panel time, while Franky is just getting gags so far atleast

Just because he got his leg fractured or "lost" against doffy for the same reasons zoro and luffy lost against apoo, doesn't mean he's a punching bag

Franky has less panel time than background characters, as for durability and attacking power that's your bs headcanon lmao. Franky never had more durability than sanji or attacking power,given their portrayal in thriller and the fact that franky was getting damaged by underlings while only doffy's right hand man broke sanji's bone

Sanji is probably oda's favorite after luffy and most likely nami, given how much character focus he's been given

Lmao bro come on, even the most hard-core sanji hater on wg wouldn't believe for that shit for second, that sounds like your personal opinion, but clearly oda favors sanji above nearly all characters aside from luffy and nami, and yes oda probably likes sanji more than zoro

In terms of panel time it's luffy, nami, sanji then zoro, which kinds of says a lot about which character oda likes to use more to impact the story

That's the thing, oda likes to write about sanji's character, while he clearly doesn't want to use Franky at his full potential

Franky is almost a background character, while sanji is getting as much focus,narrative and progression wise as nami used to pre ts, see what I mean? Oda clearly underuses Franky and the rest compared to the og 5
