Well, You can hold more authority even if you don't have a separate designation. King's introduction is literally him scolding Jack, a fellow All-Start, for his failures and instructing him about their new business deals. He also berated Queen, although he didn't seem to care. I don't see why he'd middle with their business, when they have equal authority, if it doesn't concern him.

Also, It makes no sense to call King the strongest All-Star when it says he is next to only Kaido strength in the very next line.
Remember queens introduction was also berating jack and Queen also berated King for his failures.

The all stars are a singular rank and there’s no authority within it. Otherwise Kaido wouldn’t have let the Tobi Roppo challenge king for a spot if he had a special rank

queen's introduction involved him getting berated by king for his failure to break the spirits of luffy and kid. he responded with insults. he didnt "berate" king for anything.
and kaido never allowed the tobi roppo to challenge any one specific calamity. he simply told them that they can challenge any calamity of their choice.

He berated king when he returned to Kaido with Big Mom saying if he’s going to do something to do it right. Queen wasn’t even in Udon before we got Queens introduction. The introduction was both insulting Jack, “We already have Queen/King weighing us down. Jack the drag down.”

Yeah, but King sort of assumes "natural leadership" when push came to shove during Onigashima.

Over Tobi Roppo, kinda. But even then he needs to use kaidos name to have them do what he says. Again you can say all the calamities showed initiative.

Jack was the only one to take a squad to fight the sulongs on the roof
Queen organized the live floor to fight the supernova when they appeared and offered them a promotion if they succeeded
King organized the Tobi Roppo.

None of them interfered with the others plan because none of them can.

i was talking about queen's introduction.

he did get berated by king for taking long to break the spirits of the udon prisoners. and he did resort with insults like i said.
Now cut to a few chapters later when Queen berated King for allowing Big Mom into the country. They berate each other for their failures. It’s not one sided.

nope. he's talking about during the raid, when the samurai and the supernova were fighting kaido upstairs and when jack was healing.
king organized the entire beast pirates as a whole during that time by himself.

Queen organized the live floor to fight the supernova when they appeared and offered them a promotion if they succeeded
that only made it worse and induced more chaos. and im not even gonna touch on what happened in udon, when the big mom pirates came to wano and the ice oni fiasco.

None of them interfered with the others plan because none of them can.
again, there are panels where king clearly orders the entire beast pirates around and even holds the other calamities accountable, although queen doesnt seem to respect that hierarchy.

You can literally find panels where all the calamities order the entire beast pirates around and king and Queen hold one another accountable. The only reason Jack doesnt is because he sees the other two as older brothers.

During the raid -
When the raid begun the first person to make a move was Queen. He organized the Live Floor to counterattack the supernova that snuck in and offered the people who took them down a Tobi Roppo slot.

King knocking down Big Moms ship turned out to be a detriment just like the ice oni fiasco, Big Mom still ended up making it to the island and it weakened the soon to be established alliances power.

You can’t act like it’s a one sided thing. King is stronger everyone accepts that but no where is he shown any hierarchical superiority over the other calamities.

I meant more in regards to this.

King was pretty much the commander of the top officers when Kaido wasn't around, and they all pretty much did what he said.

yeah when king was busy dealing with the tobi roppo and queen was the highest ranking officer in the live floor, obviously he takes command.

King knocking down Big Moms ship turned out to be a detriment just like the ice oni fiasco, Big Mom still ended up making it to the island and it weakened the soon to be established alliances power.
Lets be real, Big Mom surviving that is pure PIS and/or 1 in a million luck. King would be known as a Yonko Killer if not for PIS.

You can’t act like it’s a one sided thing. King is stronger everyone accepts that but no where is he shown any hierarchical superiority over the other calamities.
except that he has. @JazzMazz posted the panels which I was about to post.

King was the one who created the Yamato challenge Queen wasn’t even aware of it so who else was going to cancel it?

And you get that Jack almost immediately said cancel that last command. He commanded all of the Tobi Roppo stay away from the samurai as they’re too weak to fight them.

Or that when it came to sniffing out a traitor the person Who’s Who entrusted telling this to was Queen who then promptly took care of it.

All of them have been shown leading and commanding the Tobi Roppo. They’re just all different leadership styles.

Jack leads by taking the lead. He’s always out front when he’s leading a group and is always the first to fight. Leading the charge against the samurai twice.

Queen leads by taking action. If he thinks there’s an issue he’ll immediately do something to attempt to fix the issue. Downing an uprising, killing a traitor.

King leads by delegating. If he finds an issue he finds a less important subordinate to take care of the issue in his place. Find Yamato, take out the samurai.

However, back to my initial point; none of them can boss around the others. If Jack wants to go to Kaido and king said stop, Jacks under no obligation to listen to king.

Even when king was there, Queen didn’t ask permission to open fire into the crowd with his plague bullets, he just did it because no one can tell him no.

And Chopper healing the disease and Marco being able to slow it was also PIS, either way it ended up as a detriment.

king commanded the tobi roppo to finish off the scabbards assuming that jack was out of commission. the moment jack came back up, he is easily the better candidate to deal with them.

Or that when it came to sniffing out a traitor the person Who’s Who entrusted telling this to was Queen who then promptly took care of it.
because no tobi roppo in their right mind, would ever believe that they even have a chance of taking out king in a 2v1. isnt that the bait who's who used to bring drake to queen? if the tobi roppo act unruly in the presence of king, they openly discussed killing queen amongst themselves. not king, not jack but queen.
:yasu:

funnily enough the exact opposite happened when the big mom pirates invaded wano. queen asking the fodders to shoot the ship down and stall them while king was diving into action head first against a yonko and her crew.
and when queen gave apoo the antidote and was playing games with fodder and chopper when his captain was fighting upstairs while king promptly was organizing the troops and engaging with marco.
and even now when king dealt with marco and then helped queen bring the live floor in order.

Even when king was there, Queen didn’t ask permission to open fire into the crowd with his plague bullets, he just did it because no one can tell him no.
i mean, queen isnt that far behind king that he has to ask permission to fire some bullets lol. using plagues is queen's MO and he used it.

Again none of your points show king having any hierarchy over Queen or Jack. We’ve been shown countless times that the calamities are all the right hands of kaidos with their literal introduction of jack supposedly saying “one of three right hands.” Unless you can show me a panel where Queen or jack legit say “King is our leader” or King bossing them around then I’ll concede but no such panel exists because king doesn’t have the authority.

Kaido was the one who created the challenge. King had the idea to use the Tobi Roppo, but Kaido came up with the reward. But it also shows King's leadership to give that idea to Kaido.

King came up with the idea, but Kaido legitimated it.

Yes, all of them demonstrate their own degree of leadership. This was also true of Big Mum's crew. It depends who is available to handle the task at the time.

In saying this, I do think that King has excercised an organisational level of leadership that the others don't. He was the main person coordinating the battle in Onigashima, and its not like he didn't perform his own role in protecting Kaido(by protecting the roof top).

All of them are leaders in their own respect, but the fact that King is "chief delegator" is definitely a solid argument for why he is described as the top all star.

Even if the flying six hate the all stars, they are still subservient to them. This was demonstrated even in act 2, when Kyoshiro specifically orders his mooks to ask Queen to dispatch some flying sixes to deal with Sanji.

Considering the context, I think you could argue that King tends to stay close to Kaido as opposed to the other all stars.

Jack wanting to kill the Scabbards and telling the TRs to fuck off has nothing to do with strength.

Jack is using a shitty excuse so that he can carry on his personal vendetta against the Minks who just trashed him on the rooftop and made his attack on Zou fails.

I agree that King tends to stay nearby Kaido, but I feel the one who does so the most is Jack. Again, none of these panels show anything that shows King has any hierarchical superiority over the other Calamities. I’m not saying he’s not a good leader, he is. But he’s not in charge of the other calamities.

JazzMazz posted the panels of King ordering the entire organization around when Kaido wasn't present. And the entire organization does include Queen and Jack as well.

We’ve been shown countless times that the calamities are all the right hands of kaidos with their literal introduction of jack supposedly saying “one of three right hands.”
Nope. That was a mistranslation. Here's the Official.
This holds the same amount of meaning as calling Cracker, one of the three closest associates of Big Mom.

Unless you can show me a panel where Queen or jack legit say “King is our leader” or King bossing them around then I’ll concede but no such panel exists because king doesn’t have the authority.
You don't need them to say that out loud explicitly lol. The same didn't happen with Katakuri but it is clear as crystal that he is the leader of the Big Mom Pirates in the absence of Big Mom.

JazzMazz posted panels of King ordering the entire Beast Pirates around in front of Queen. And there are multiple more instances where King even holds Queen to higher standards and asks him of his progress as shown during Queen's introduction.
