Why would there be a Thor?

This "Luffy is weak to swords" shit is the lamest argument I've heard as to why he'd lose against Shanks or Mihawk. Everyone is susceptible to slashes, and Luffy's weakness to it is only highlighted because he's immune to haki-less blunt damage. That doesn't stop him from using haki of his own in the form of ryuo or CoC coating to block/parry slash attacks (we literally see him doing this in base form in Chapter 1037).

Kaido uses a club and Big Mom uses a sword, but did we see Big Mom overpower Kaido because she had a sword? What about Roger and Garp and their numerous duels? Why didn't Roger beat Garp way earlier if swordsmen are so great?

And then what, Elbaf can't be that big of an arc, you want a Yonkou level Thor or something?
Zoro cutting lightning would be the only use for a Thor, Odin and the others would be lucky to be stronger characters than the F6.

Yeah it's always an issue, Samurai Jack, would always slice oponents that we're robots so it was fine, whilst never slicing living people obviously lol
